Lately, I’ve been carrying a lot of sadness in my heart. I lost my little sister this year, and just last week, I lost my Grandpa…two people who meant the world to me. It’s been hard to push through the days. But I’m learning that it’s okay to feel sad. There’s nothing wrong with being a “sad soul” sometimes. 🤕💔

This comic was born from that feeling and from a memory. When I was little, Grandpa Mac used to take me to the donut shop when I was feeling low. It didn’t fix everything, but it helped. A warm donut and someone who cares can go a long way. 🍩❤️

So if you’re feeling down today, know you’re not alone. Grab a “sad donut,” sit with your feelings, and let yourself be loved, even in the sadness.
