Forever so lame and sad to me that making your OC related to a canon character was (is?) seen as cringe and a symptom of mary-sue-ness, because I actually think it's such a fun creative exercise. Like, imagining what a character's parents or siblings or other relatives might be like based on what we already know about the character, designing them to look appropriately related without being too similar, incorporating/expanding on existing thematic or visual motifs..... It's all so so fun I highly encourage it.

one of the "gender is fake" discoveries i made while transitioning is that, like, gendered cuts of shirts do SO MUCH to change a persons silhouette? like a goof 20% of the "biological difference between men and women" that people imagine is just shirt cut. its just clothing cut. its insane.

similarly to how you can say "penis" or "vagina" instead of "male/female genitals" you can also say "testosterone/estrogen dominant endocrine system" instead of "male/female endocrine system" wow. amazing, we don't have to misgender trans ppl who aren't going to or haven't yet medically transitioned when we refer to hormones its just that easy
