Iâve yet to fully edit this blog to be Poppy Playtime in general but I made a Giblet redesign, toy and experiment version (I did all the colors by memory)
Iâve been thinking about him as a Teddy Ruxpin-esque plush doll with a night-light inside him, mostly because all we get of pre-experiment Giblet is a cardboard cutout that doesnât say his name. It might not be a full redesign for Experiment Giblet but thatâs because I actually like him. I think heâs a bit parasocial to deal with his crippling self-esteem issues. I gave him the poppy instead of the medal he has to signify that he knew Poppy (and because I legit forgot that he had it) and the patches like the original being different colors to imply he replaced the pieces that fell off. Also, thereâs more stuffing and wounds coming out of his body since he probably got into several altercation with the other violent toys.

redesigned the smiling critters from poppy playtime because I fully believe that they wouldn't be cartoonified like that. this took ages and I mostly changed the faces with some other minor tweaks involved. I'm pretty satisfied with the results and I hope you enjoy my take on these guys. I hope you enjoy the full lineup !
Poppy Redesign for my funny AU that I drew a million years ago and forgot to post!!!! Sheâs a real girl!
Her mouth canât move bc sheâs made of porcelain so she speaks with her voice box!! The only joints she has are in her fingers, so her arms and legs canât bend which means she has trouble walking sometimes! She can really only move her eyes with the same mobility she had as a human child. It must be torture!
I forgive her for running away, sheâs mentally like 11 year old maximum.

These are my redesigns for the Huggies! These are extremely inspired off of designs that @chronos-enigma has made! I made the second two a while ago but I just remembered about them when I decided to draw them in the first drawing
These two are made out of flesh and Cotten. All of the miniâs have faceplates instead of actual organic moving ones (they can eat because these plates are removable)

Itâs the three versions of beloved dough man! From his original 50s version, to his rebooted 80s and 90s versions!
I had a bit too much fun with these guys. Especially 90s doey, itâs so much fun to draw his expressions!

Doey D. Doughman was Playtime Co.âs second major commercial success! Hitting the toy aisles in the 1950s, âDoey Doughâ became the toy marketed towards schools across the nation, teaching kids how to be creative and imaginative. With Playtime Co.âs original recipe, kids wonât have to worry about forgetting to close the lid on the can, because the dough canât ever dry out!! Here, we see Doeyâs original design, a fine and charming fellow marketing the four original colors of âDoey Doughâ: blue, red, orange, and yellow!
Luckily, Doeyâs Dough expanded its color selection by the 1980s, and with it, Playtime Co. redesigned their beloved mascot! Now heâs sporting a bea-U-tiful rainbow vest, showing off the wonderful new colors! Once again, profits soared! Playtime sold nearly 8 million cans of Doey Dough in 1982 alone, and with that amount of profit meant that there were a LOT of fans.
Playtime Co. was receiving hundreds of letters per day of kids asking when theyâre going to see more of their beloved dough man? With so much demand, it wouldâve been stupid of the company not to capitalize on that! So on 1984, âDoey the Doughmanâ series was released out onto the public, and boy did the public adore the lovable living doughman. More than 40 million viewers tuned in to watch Doey teach them the wonders of oneâs own creativity, of joy, kindness, and friendship. From there, more merchandise got released, from plush toys to books!
Now that all changed once the 90s began. You see, Playtime Co. wanted to be in the public spotlight again, and while they HAVE been releasing toys, with varying degrees of success, they werenât as popular as Playtime Co. needed them to be. So, instead of creating a new, innovative toy that kids would love, the company repurposed its beloved mascot Doey, the one that taught kids about love and kindness since the 80s, into a brash, mean-spirited Doughman.
Playtime Co. was finally receiving the attention it so desperately wanted, but not the right kind of attention. Angry fans (both kids and adults alike) sent in hundreds of letters complaining about the awful new changes, some even refused to buy anything Playtime Co. related UNTIL they could fix this issue. This got so bad that it even started to affect PlayTime Co.âs sales, so with no other choice, Playtime Co pulled 90s Doey Dough away from store shelves and replaced it with the memorable 80s version. This era is often referred to as the âPlaytime Companyâs Doh-sastorâ.
To this day fans often wonder why Playtime Co. decided on redesigning their once colorful and fun mascot to something âunoriginalâ, âblandâ, and âboringâ compared to its predecessors. Perhaps this is due to the time period, where many shows at this time were a lot more âedgyâ than the cute and pastel cartoons that came before. Perhaps weâll never know!
Iâve been looking back on my previous art of these two and ever since Iâve finalised the smiling critters redesigns I wanted to give these two monkeys a little polish.
No spoilers! But these two arenât just cute and cuddly. Together they are now a duo of pranksters which (lovingly) terrorise their jungle. More on them in their individual posts!
Lily Lovebraids is the protector of the Wishingstar Kingdom, where she protects the denizens' dreams and wishes from villains with the help of her friend, Giblet the Greblin!
The character for Lily Lovebraids was originally created during the late 1980s, however, Playtime Co. didn't release her until late 1992 due to the fact that they were having financial troubles during the early 1990s.
She was a immensely popular doll, generating Playtime a whopping $100 million dollars in 1993 alone as Playtime Co. not only released a doll line based off of her, but also clothes, stuffed animals, miniature dolls and portable, pocket-sized playsets, and even an animated television series that ran from 1993-1994.
Just add water and her hair becomes out of this world!đ

The redesigns you made for the Playtime Toys look pretty cool! But what do they look like individually?
Huggys and Kissys took the longest but theyâre the ones I am most satisfied with.
Wanted to inspire my design more heavily on animals so throughout most you can see the influence.
Doeyâs was fun but it was really hard for me to get an animal to link with his monster form ( from other sources Iâve heard salamander and seal). Landed on an octopus đ
Wanted to try make Mommy a bit scarier due to the main gripe many have with chapter 2 being how less scary she is compared to other horror game bosses.
Felt like I should have done more, especially due the backlash Mob got after the final design was revealed. But honestly, I donât think I could make anything that would be âbetterâ
Can you tell I was getting stuck? I had no clue what do with Lilys design and just decided to lean into her tea party that she held at the climax of chap 5.
No notes, at this point I just wanted to get working on the big drawing. I know I missed other characters but itâs because I barely or didnât change them at all, or just didnât draw them :P
