I have epilepsy so making sure the word is out on how to help people who do have seizures means a lot to me.

This is important stuff to know. My father has epilepsy, and so I was informed on what to do when someone at GenCon had a seizure 2 days ago.

If you don’t know what to do call 911 but don’t request an ambulance and instead look on the persons body for a seizure braclet or ID card. If you call an ambulance in America it could cost the person upwards of $900 for an ambulance they didn’t want. It might sound stupid and against everything you’ve been taught about calling 911 but if a person has a seizure disorder there isn’t a whole lot an ambulance or hospital can do about it. If there is INJURY to the person with bleeding that won’t stop then let the 911 operator know and an ambulance may be necessary.
