You visit the doctors tent again like he suggested, he realizes you hadn’t eaten all day, but knows he can’t offer you his “special” candy, instead, he hands you a cake slice (pierrots that he never used from a few days ago)

The cakes poison /should have/ worn off by then but instead the effects changed and

The effects don’t hit right away, you munch on the (slightly stale) desert on the way to harlequins tent , finishing it around the time you get there , stopping outside you realize you had missed his performance ! (The doctor kept you too long, examining and all that..) Harle catches you outside as the other guests are leaving, it’s late, that was the last show of the night .. he notices the nearly-finished cake in you hands…

“how are you feeling, dear? Perhaps you need something to wash that down?~”

You don’t catch his innuendo

“I-I well..” you feel strange, a bit ticklish, your skin is tingly, your clothes feel too loose , you feel like you’re falling to the ground. You try to take Harle’s hand to steady yourself, but his is now much larger than your own- you really are falling now ! H-how-

Harlequin wasn’t trying to catch your hand- your tiny body lands with an ‘oomph’ in his gloved palm..

Harlequin looks down at you , his grin disappears for a moment- he quickly looks around, making sure nobody had seen anything-

His fingers close around you and you whir through the air as he whisks you into his tent.

Finally still, you sit up and look dazedly around as if you were waking from a dream , nothing feels real, it’s all too bright, too loud, too big-

Looking up at Harlequin from the imposing palm, his quizzical look has been replaced with something like .. fear? Concern? .. his green pupils dart over your newly tiny form, scanning each minuscule part of you. A clawed finger appears, pinching and lightly tugging at your leg, threatening to drag you down his palm.

“H-hey-!” You yelp.

Your itty bitty noise of protest seems to amuse him, and the classic grin returns to that menacing masked face ..

“What on earth happened to you, dear?”

He inquires, as if you would know.

“M-me? I didn’t.. t- the doctor!- he gave me ..“

your words falter as you take in the reality and danger you are now in, a minuscule doll in this sadistic perverts’ hand.. your mind and heart start to race.

“The doctor?” Harlequin says, not noticing your words catching in your throat “hmm, he isn’t one to bake sweets.. like that .. how strange..” he mutters to himself before turning his gaze back to your tiny form

“and even so, nothing like this has ever happened before..” he says , lost in thought. Absentmindedly, he pinches at your hand, rolling your little palm between his gloved fingers, and finally he notices your shaking, and your despaired look.

“Oh, all quiet suddenly? What, you aren’t scared or something, are you~?”

He teases, his open palm starting to close in around you as his grin widens.

His playful demeanor, usually just annoying or even exciting, Is absolutely terrifying in your current state.

“You really are so small .. and you don’t have a clue what’s going on , hm? .. poor little thing ~”

“H-harlequin .. please .. i’m - I’m not.. “

Your breath hitches. You look pleadingly up at him, and you can see the conflict in his eyes, deciding if his amusement was worth your terror.

He sighs and his expression softens, as does his hold on you.

“Fine… fine .. you’re right. I’m sorry dear one , this is probably truly frightening for you.. it’s not time to play just yet ~” he recognizes.

“You aren’t hurt, are you? Physically?”

You take a deep breath to calm yourself, and then shake your head.

“Hmm,, and do you feel any different? Other than the obvious ..? “ he seems unsure of his questions.

The tingling you had felt before had mostly subsided , your body still felt a bit warm..? But everything else was normal .. it didn’t seem like you were going to change again at least.

“Not too different.. a bit- a bit shaky, a-and I feel warm in my chest .. “ you squeak out

Ugh.. Harlequin thought, this would be more of the Doctors expertise.. but he didn’t really feel like sharing his prize right now ..

“Hm-hm , warm you say? That’s what most would call a blush, my dear ~” he chuckles, though it seems less callous than before.

Humph.. well it wasn’t Not that…

You give him a grumpy look and he chuckles, covering his masked mouth.

“Oh stop it, now you’re the one teasing me with how cute you’re being”

“I-I am not-! Im not trying to be .. cute..” you huff, why did he always have to be so flirty ?!

“ Youre about three inches tall and pouting in the literal palm of my hand, it’s impossible not to find you adorable right now~” he sings.
