I don't know if in the sketch appreaciate but y try to maintain some details of the original story and of course Polly and Buggy are with Bennet. Him are a excelent observe the animals, and have to companions. Not talking about how easy be attached to Charly.
The sword in Trevors hands is a kindjal, and at his hand are a special detail in the scars. I made him a "ligthly" armor cause for what i observe in the story, he is really fast then i think about made one he can move easy on it.

Just drawing a few of them is enough to tell the viewer, "Oh, this character is on a sailing ship right now." That's why I personally feel like being able to draw ropes this well is the ultimate key to making a ship feel real.
Look at this, even the weave of the rope is beautiful. Especially the way the ropes sag in every single square of the shrouds, and how each knot where the ropes cross is tied slightly differently⦠To me, ropes on a sailing ship are like hair, or like an expression. The reason his hair looks like thick clumps in my art is just because thatβs the only way I know how to draw it. I actually always wish I could give it more of a silky feel, but you managed to make it look silky, clumped, and wavy all at once. You're literally a godβ¦ Iβve loved the way you draw hair ever since I saw your first piece.
And the reason he looks so handsome here (aside from your god-tier skills, obviously) is probably his expression.
This is him having bounced back from loss, finding a new dream and purpose, sailing with a boss he respects and friends he trusts. Heβs so full of happiness that it more than makes up for what he lost, and you can see this clear, positive confidence in him. Confidence really makes a person shineβ¦ Heβs so different from his current self, who got kicked back down to rock bottom, had everything taken away again, and had his confidence completely shattered.
Being able to portray the happiness of his past days through just one expressionβ¦ thatβs the peak of your expressive power.
