College buddy of mine was telling me a few days ago about how excited he was to try DM’ing a 5e(ish) DnD campaign, and I was like “hell yeah”. He then proceeded to tell me that he gave chatgpt a basic outline of the world, and had it create a map, geography, cities, factions, story beats, major conflicts, and he plans on having it analyze our party to see where our weak spots are, then generate a DM NPC that can help us. I think he’ll also be using it to “predict what the best course of action would be” for our party to take. Choo choo I guess.
Dude. Fuck that. I ain’t playing. Write it yourself or gtfo. I don’t care if you plagiarize the entirety of [insert ip here] while making tiny little flavor changes. Don’t use that ai bs. Rise to the challenge you big baby. Man my first campaign was based on Horizon Zero Dawn, and my third campaign was loosely based on fuckn MLP FIM. Keep that shit out of creativity ffs
