PJ raised a brow, “Really? You think so?”

“I’m not saying you’d break anything,” PJ said with a playful nudge, “Maybe you could paint a small version of camp on it. The cabins, the strawberry fields the lake, the Big House.”

“I was thinking knife-throwing,” PJ suggested with a smug and triumphant smile.

“Not at all. I’m not one for altering instruments from the way that I received them but I’m sure you’ll come up with something good.”

“I’m talking about today, sword-fighting,” PJ pointed to her feet, “Your footwork is off.”

“You’re got a trustworthy demeanor. Lead them to the arena and I’ll scare them there.”

“It means you haven’t beaten me yet,” PJ said, “What else would it mean?”

“Thank you for the Dawn Fords stamp of approval,” PJ said with a grin, “Want to join in on the fun?”

“We have to be prepared in a moment. You might as well just get your armor on and deal with it.”

“Oh yeah? What are we talking?”

“No, D. It’s supposed to scare first year campers,” PJ said with a grin, “Come on, imagine being one of them. Not eleven year old you because she was tough as nails but any other eleven year old.”

“Come on, mate, you said you’d train with me today or would you rather have emotionally and physically scarred first years on your conscience?”

“You have yet to prove it, Hale.”

“I’ll go with you,” PJ offered, feeling like spending some time with his sibling, “Sounds like fun. What are you gonna paint on it?”

“Nice try but no,” PJ said, “Come on, I won’t say it again.”
