Hair protection: Satin-Lined Caps?!
Ok so I was browsing on Facebook one day and I came across this interesting post about satin-lined caps. Now, I'm thinking to myself they must look cheap or like a bonnet that I already own like 3 of. I have locs but I love satin because my hair doesn't get as dry and my locs stay neater longer when I wear my bonnet.
I go to their website and I am blown away at the products they offer. They have satin-caps for adults and kids, they're made more like beanies than bonnets which I like and come in small, medium or large. There are satin scrunchies which I like because I hate how some hair bands kind of pull my locs. They offer satin pillow cases and my favorite, headbands.
Now the thing that really got my attention is that they have satin lined hats. I love hats for my bad hair days (yes, I have bad hair days). Those days when my edges are over with and I really need a wash and retwist but no time to do it. I just throw my hat on and go some days but I always hate that it feels (like with everything else) all the moisture is being sucked out of my hair. I'm hoping these satin lined hats are the answers to my bad hair day prayers. I'm a little apprehensive because I can never really find a hat to fit my head lol.
No, I haven't bought any to try them out yet but they list their prices on their website and they seem to be pretty affordable in my opinion. I definitely plan on trying them out though. Have you tried these or have a favorite product that protects your hair or children's hair?

How long did it take you to discover your baby's personality?
I grow more and more amazed every day by the things my daughter, who is a year old, adapts to. There are a few things that I realized very early on about my daughter I say beginning around 5 or 6 months old. She has always had a sense of humor (she came out the womb smiling lol). For example, my husband and I would be watching a comedy movie, something funny happens and both my husband and I would laugh and she would laugh along like she could understand exactly what happened. At first we shrugged it off but in the back of my mind I'm like 'how does always know when to laugh? She can't possibly understand that yet.' To this day she does the same thing.
Another thing I noticed about her is that she is very particular about her "Babies" (she loves stuffed animals). She may compromise on anything else but no her babies or her "Teddy". It leads me to believe that she won't be to keen on other people touching her personal things which could be a good and bad thing in the long run lol. I know her personality is bound to change as she ages but its just something I think about when I watch her.
Is it just me? When did your first discover your kids personality and what are they like?
How do you know if your pussy is considered fat
Is there a fat pussy test
If you gotta ask…
Y'all don’t know when your dicks are little and y'all ask us all the time if it’s big so why can’t I ask?
lmaooo but i think it’s when you bend over and can see you coochie from the back it’s considered “fat” because then it’s bigger than your butt

My Journey from BA to MBA to JD
In high school I really didn't know much about colleges but I knew I wanted to go a HBCU and I wanted to be close to home. I didn't have a preference on whether the college was big or small. I really didn't think about how much it would cost to go. When it came down to my junior in high school I decided to apply to four schools: Georgia State University, Spelman College, Clark Atlanta School, and Paine College. I got into all four and scholarship offer to all except Spelman so I was sold on Clark Atlanta. My father, however, had other plans it was Spelman.
Now, I had mentioned Spelman to my parents when I was about 7 or 8 years old I believe but at the time I didn't know what it meant to go to Spelman. I actually didn't realize that until I set up my freshman dorm for orientation. Outside of education, Spelman taught me a lot about myself as a young Black Woman. My time at Spelman tested my work ethic, my resilience, my mental, how I handled relationships, taught me how to vulnerable, and introduced me to people and moments I could never forget. I was president of an organization that I chartered and held down 3 jobs. I graduated from Spelman in May of 2013 (shout out to my class 💁🏽) with a 2.9 GPA, thanks to me trying to be a daredevil my senior year and take Accounting, Psychometrics, and Precalculus (Accounting and Precalculus I didn't need, I just wanted a "challenge"🙄) I passed Psychometrics (the class I needed to graduate-I was a psychology major) after my Bestie and I pulled an all-nighter. I failed the other two finals and got a C in Accounting and D in Precalculus.
Shortly before graduated I took the LSAT to get into law school. I took it twice and got the same score, which was not very high, not even average. I still applied though. I only got into 2 and 1 on the contingency that I retake the LSAT which would cause me to sit out of school a year. It was between Arizona and Vermont. I knew I was going to Arizona, but I definitely wasn't going to Vermont. So I thought. Well, that summer I was working at Spelman for their high school summer programs and one of the parents I met was a lawyer. I told him my plans to wait a year then reapply. He look at me and asked "Why wait a year for another school to accept you when someone already has? You'll be taking a year off and you can already have year done.". It made sense. I talked with Vermont some more and I was sold. I was sad I had to be so far away from my family but I went anyway.
I arrived in Vermont with one suitcase and rental car. When I saw my apartment (this was my very first apartment) was a 500 sq ft studio and didn't look as big as it did in the picture I was ready to go home. I called my Dad and he calmed me down and told me to stick it out. I got myself together, cleaned my place, and put up furniture. My time at Vermont was short, but I experienced a lot. I saw REAL snow for the first time, I was regional secretary of the Black Law Student Association, I traveled, learned that people in the northeast don't drink Sweet Tea, I met people I will always remember and it let me know law school was way more challenging than I anticipated. My father passed October 10, 2013, shortly after I got to Vermont. I needed to be back with my family so I transferred to Mercer University in Macon, GA.
While I was Mercer, the joint MBA program they offered caught the attention of myself and 2 other classmates. Went on to scruggle through the MBA grogram and the JD program at the same time. I was hard but we did it. I graduated with a 3.45. In my third year I got pregnant with my daughter. I ended up doing okay in law school, I got around a C average. I didn't excel but I didn't sink either, I think was a more burned out than anything. But, I finished. 1 year after graduation and have 6 months of experience as a high school Business Education teacher. That's a story for another time lol.
Looking back, I was blessed to have the opportunities that I did.

My First Anniversary
I recently had my first (marriage) anniversary. I have to say it didn't go as planned but turned out great. Friday (July 14) was actually our anniversary. We woke up and got the kids ready. I dropped the kids off at their Nana's house while Jordan (my husband) got his hair cut. Unfortunately, Jordan had to work so we were thinking we would go to eat before he goes to work and maybe a movie or something after. Trying to go eat was bust. First, we went to Joe's Crabshack and the waitress took so long to take our order that we just decided to leave. So, we went to Moe's. Anybody that's been to Moe's know its made fresh to order. So we order, get to the register and realize we left the debit card at home. My Apple Pay isn't working. My husband goes to get it. I get text from Apple Pay saying the card is registered. I call my husband and tell him to come back because its working now. He's gets there, its still not working. I get a text saying it will take 2 business days to fully verify. Now we're both mad and hungry and still don't have the card. Frustrated, we go home but I can tell my husband is upset that we didn't eat lunch so we go back and eat before he goes to work. I drop him off and pick him back up around 9pm. It pouring down raining off and on. I absolutely hate bad weather so I'm definitely not trying to be out in it so no movies. We get home and he can tell I'm disappointed about the way the day went. He apologizes and promises we'll do something the next day.
The next day we have our usual coffee and conversation. He had to work again tonight and I had to pick the kids up from my mom's and run errands. We decided to go to a Sushi bar. I had only been to one and it was no where near our house. We chose this new place near our house called Fumi Hibachi Sushi. It looked new and the atmosphere was nice. We sat at the Hibachi table which I didn't expect him to want to do because you sit with people you don't know. He had never been to a Hibachi place so I was hoping he would like it. He liked the entertainment from the chef, he tried two different types of sushi, and soup. He even tried eating with chop sticks. I enjoyed seeing him try new things and the sushi was great. We had a great time. I dropped him off at work and decided to go to the Apple Store to get my phone fixed. Good news, I was able to get a new phone. Bad news, they didn't have any in stock to I have to wait around 4 days to get it. I killed the rest of my time running errands and grocery shopping. By the time I got the kids, it was time to pick Jordan up from work. It was full day but I really enjoyed it. I enjoyed spending time by myself lol. I look forward to many many more with this man.
