I love my malpractice prince and i appreciate all the nuance and complexity of his character, but that being said, i don't think some of the fans are really appreciating how well everything went for him.
He went to rehab while his addiction was still manageable, he got clean, he recovered, who knows if this would've still be the case if he hadn't been discovered when he did.
He avoided legal consequences, i don't care if Santos did it for "the wrong reasons" she could have done it to take his parking spot and it still would've been the right thing to do because he committed a crime, a serious one that risked the hospital, his patients and even Santos and he got out without any legal involvement, when Mohan or Collins would've NEVER gotten away with this shit.
Everything ALMOST happened to him, he ALMOST lost his job, he ALMOST lost his children, his wife ALMOST divorces him, but none of those things actually happened, he still a doctor, a father and a husband, and i'm glad for him but i can't but feel like he isn't appreciating that fact enough
He comes back to find support in his coworkers (except Santos for obvious reasons, and Robby but Robby's issues need a post on it's own)
I don't know about y'all but this for me feels like a clean sweep in favor of Dr. Langdon, did he suffer? Of course he did, is any of this suffering Dr. Santos' fault? No it's not, so maybe she reported him because he was an asshole to her or because she couldn't stand his cologne, it doesn't matter because at the end of the day, she saved his life, and none of that "i suffered too on this 10 months" talk had any place in what should've been a moment of accountability for the very very very lucky Dr. Langdon
