IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE. Transgender people are being allowed access into opposite sex spaces in countries that still have federal penalties for being gay. Try a-fucking-gain.

You forgot the gay and lesbian people in some countries being forced through sex reassignment aka to✨ transition ✨ to straight. Definitely not conversion therapy. In Iran and likely elsewhere. Iran is very trans rights I suppose!

the fact that they’re complaining that same sex marriage is a “trans exclusionary term” like.... no it’s actually only exclusionary of trans ppl who aren’t same sex attracted and the fact that thats being prioritised over gay people having the right to marry is telling.

God help me, I can’t believe this is real. This doesn’t even make sense. It’s not a zero-sum game, we can walk and chew gum at the same time, fighting for gay marriage doesn’t mean dropping everything else. Good thing there’s an LGB Alliance in India, hopefully they will take up this cause.

I know a lot of trans people from the US (and I assume elsewhere too) go to India for cheap SRS. I'm wondering if being seen as a prime destination for medical tourism by the trans community is also pushing this.
