hell bent on self destruction

The thing is that I don't want to be employed but I also don't want to be unemployed. I actually want our entire economic system to explode but that's not really a feasible option right now

academic success is not the most important thing in my life, i tell myself as i’m having a breakdown because of academic success, the most important thing in my life

8 years old. College reading level. The weight of the world on my shoulders.

20 years old. illiterate. the weight of the universe has given me chronic back pain

emotionally im doing the laminated paper wobbling sound

saying my name is so intimate why would you do that to me

i want summer love, new and pure and innocently unlabeled. kisses that taste like cotton candy. long drives under a sunset. holding hands on the ferris wheel. winning a stuffed animal for you at the fair. taking polaroids until we have a stack too high to fit in my drawer. staying up late to just talk on my roof. going to drive-in movies past our curfew. laying in bed with you when we have nowhere to be. i want something so real it’s euphoric.

There could be hundreds of people in a room, yet my eyes will always fall on you.
