Having run out of the fiber I dyed, time for a rest--Malabrigo Nube in the colorway "Whales Road." People sure weren't telling tales when they said this stuff is felted, neppy, and fights every step of the way! But WHAT colors.

Spinning fine because it's easier and I'm treating myself, and because I only got one 4oz braid of the fiber so I'm young to ply it with some thick-spun Rambouillet to make a scarf.

The MFH is printing me one more storage bobbin. :D The filament is so pretty!

In case anyone hasn't heard, the cyclospora outbreak affecting tons of people in the US right now is coming from Taylor Farms produce. Best to stay away from bagged lettuce and prepared salads completely right now, but especially the ones mentioned in the screenshot:

This is not the first time I've heard about a Taylor Farms foodborne illness outbreak. I stopped eating their salads after reading a description of the conditions in their facilities. Doesn't sound like they've improved anything.

This means flow resistance is increased by a factor of 10 - this is pretty intuitive (unless you're a clinical triallist, apparently), it's the same thing that makes it harder to breathe through a drinking straw than just your open mouth. This means the entire trial was performed under conditions equivalent to wearing 10 N95s on top of one another at once, and everyone involved and everyone who cited this study as meaningful should go and do something they are better equipped to handle than science, like watching paint dry. But since it is a clinical trial, EBM mindlessly treats it as the highest form of evidence - and since almost nothing gets retracted in clinical journals no matter how crappy it is, EBM processes keep using it.
