[FLASHING LIGHTS!!]
Been working on this for the last 2 weeks, this is an extended version of my first animated project and it's my longest work by far, hope you all like it!!!
Since Americans are losing more jets and weapons faster than they can rebuild that means it is more imperative now to disturb and destroy local factories producing such things, right? Workers of the West will do that to stop this carnage, yes?
Y'all in the middle states for the munitions and manufacturing. Us on the coasts for the tech and shipping.
This is why the British government went so hard against the Palestine Action protestors who broke in and disrupted a weapons factory in Scotland btw. Western governments know they cannot continue their imperial project without these factories and shipping facilities.
To be clear, I'm not saying this to discourage anyone from taking action. I'm saying this is evidence that weapons factories and shipping facilities are vital to continuing the western imperial project.

the enormous man who stands across the street from my apartment with the long bony fingers and bloodshot eyes and too wide smile seems like he's just phoning it in this month. his smile was almost normal width last saturday honestly. i taped a single lexapro to the lamppost and left it for him and it was gone in the morning. i hope it helps. you never know what someone else is going through #kind

THE CUTIE MARK CRUSADERS! :D
Zionists are so fucking stupid, god damn
when i wake up remind me to make a post about the lack of blood in utena and what it means to have a world where suffering can only be beautiful or hidden
oh i should probably finish this thought lmfao. anyway of course there r the genre limitations of a shojo not being expected to show much blood, and of course the fact that the wounds caused in the duels are largely spiritual rather than physical. but there’s also something about how the entire world theyre inhabiting has a false quality to it: it’s a stage, an endless and eternal play where akio is the director. because the characters operate inside akio’s construction, wounds are only allowed to be as “real” as anything can be in this world. there’s no true bloodshed in a stage play after all; the characters need to be able to get up and perform again the next night.
i also think it signifies akio’s perpetual immaturity in its unwillingness to deal directly with difficult subjects. akio, as much as any of the other characters, is trapped at the school, perpetually unable to “graduate” and thus deal directly with the real world.
instead, bloodshed is transferred to the rose petals. losing your rose in the duel indicates an erosion of self, a loss of innocence, and anthy’s role as the gardener indicates her complicity in the violence of the duel games. is made even clear by the moments of real violence that are obscured by the endless spinning roses and reinforced in adolescence of utena when we see the dueling grounds now covered in a field of red roses, signifying the “bloodshed” that has occurred across countless duels.
oh i guess i should also add in contrast to the performative, beautiful violence of watching roses blow away on the breeze is the very real violence hidden at the center of the story: anthy, trapped by hundreds of swords piercing her, rendering her unable to move. violence against anthy is the mechanism that keeps the whole performance spinning, so that duels can be about flowers
I kind of hate how conversations about environmental and labor problems with things that fit into the broad category of "merch" never get into practical ethical alternatives.
like screenprinting on secondhand shirts for your band tees or whatever seems to be getting to be more common. what else can we do in this vein? What can we do locally? are there print shops and embroidery machine shops near us that can make shirts and patches that don't need the fuel expenditure of long distance shipping, whose workers are covered by the same labor laws we are? Maybe there's a union print shop near you. what can we do with our own hands? can we block print stickers or find a riso to print them on instead of using a print to order service? Can we do bottlecap buttons? Labor issues with plushies get discussed a lot; I don't think "soft toys are bourgeois decadence" necessarily has to be the one and only answer here - what can we do instead of send a plush pattern off to a sweatshop? Perhaps you could sell your fans a sewing/knitting/crochet pattern to make their own plush. Maybe you could sell a simple little two-piece cut-and-sew kit. perhaps that could also be screenprinted on secondhand fabric. Presently the prevailing opinion is that the less polished look of all this would be unprofessional; for the sake of our planet and our fellow workers, could we reject the idea that it's desirable to look professional?

anthy during black rose arc catfishing mikage every night and then going to school w utena rosebriding during the day how i imagine she looked at her brother when she was finally about to take a well deserved nap and akio tells her to do some other esoteric fuckshit last minute before silently going to get 30 wooden hairclips and painting them different colors

One thing that particularly really pisses me off about north american colonialism is people's adamant refusal to either recognize or admit that indigenous genocide is still a very real and active thing going on. And I know this stems from the fact that people only view genocide as just mass killings of people (which is also still happening its just more covert than you think) but its also a separation, assimilation, and destruction of a peoples/culture.
in the US alone we make up less than like 2% of the entire fucking population, its basically impossible to be native unless you're mixed or inbred as fuck (which is part of why blood quantums are stupid), and despite this we still make up the majority of sexual violence and abduction victims. We are STILL dying, we are STILL being murdered and erased and silenced and so many other fucking things but trust me guys everything's fine now because some shitty corporate did a recognition of the land post before violating government contracts and building another oil line through indigenous lands.
And on that note a lot of you need to learn what cultural appropriation actually is and the damage it does beyond just "white people claiming ethnic thing".
Avelo Airlines cuts ties with ICE, ends deportation flights - al.com
The budget carrier signed an agreement with the Department of Homeland Security in April 2025.
Avelo Airlines, the only commercial carrier believed to have been operating full deportation flights on a regular basis for the Trump administration, is ending its relationship with Immigration and Customs Enforcement and will no longer charter those deportations.
The budget carrier signed an agreement with the Department of Homeland Security in April 2025 to operate ICE flights out of Arizona, drawing immediate protests and calls to boycott.
At the time, the airline acknowledged the decision may be controversial but said it was expected to support company expansion and job protection. However, after less than a year since inking the deal, Avelo has admitted that the program became too costly and complex to continue.
CEO Andrew Levy acknowledged the backlash in an email to employees late Tuesday.
“We moved a portion of our fleet into a government program which promised more financial stability but placed us in the center of a political controversy,” Levy wrote in the email, obtained by CNBC.
“The program provided short-term benefits but ultimately did not deliver enough consistent and predictable revenue to overcome its operational complexity and costs.” (aph)
