CONTAINS SPOILERS
I’m posting this greatly shocked, after (I know I’m late) having just watched episode 4 of the second season of Shadowhunters, which is the very last episode I will watch. Let me explain why.
Once upon a time (well like in 2012 or something) I was the biggest fan of The Mortal Instruments. As the years go by, now that I’ve reached adulthood, I look back on my “fangirl” years (well can you even stop being a fangirl?) with a lot of nostalgia. Today, the only books I have time to read are assignments in college. I miss the days I spent reading The Hunger Games, Divergent and The Mortal Instruments (and much more).
However, these stories are still staying with me, every day of my life. They might not be considered great literature by my college profs, but they are part of me, and part of the reason for which I wanna study literature and languages.
In the bits of free time I’ve managed to have, I have been watching Shadowhunters, since the very first episode around a year ago. And today, after watching the episode I mentioned above, I have to admit I could barely watch another episode even if I tried.
I have never been one of those people who cannot accept a single change from book to movie/TV. But killing Clary’s mother, Jocelyn, is one change I will never approve.
No, I didn’t mind Aldertree. No, I didn’t mind Lydia. No, I didn’t mind that Luke was a NYPD agent. No, I didn’t mind most of the changes they made, because I was so happy to see one of my favourite stories on screen, after the first try flopped at the box office. But that is no more.
How could Cassandra Clare (I read that the writers actually asked Cassie before writing it) agree with such an awful turn of events? Jocelyn is so important in Clary’s journey and stays with her throughout all of the six books.
The actress who portrayed her was flawless, and she was from Quebec, where I’m from, and I loved her a lot. The mother-daughter relationship was just building up, and it was growing into something that felt so close to the books. For the first 3 episodes, I felt like the writers had finally understood how to be faithful to the essence of the books, while telling the story in a somewhat different way. Apparently, they don’t understand anything.
I honestly hope season 3 gets cancelled, and I say this while acknowledging that I might give it a chance, that maybe I’ll change my mind and I’m shocked after having just watched it, but I doubt it. I guess I’ll just have to stick to my memories of the books, or find time to read them again…
My 2016 in a nutshell.
So, it was confirmed that the twin in the sneak peek was indeed Aiden... Any theories? They did say that there were many ways for a character to come back so do you think he's really back from the dead or is it all in Lydia's head? So confusing omg
How long have you been a fanboy?/When did you start reading?
Like around 2012 after The Hunger Games movie came out :)

Je suis trop fier de cette série québécoise qui n'a pas eu peur de montrer de l'amour peu importe le sexe. Bravo VRAK.TV et toute l'équipe de Le chalet!
Just watched the first 8 minutes of the Finding Carter Season 2 premiere! Ah, just seeing the opening credits was exciting! Where do we begin? Taylor and Max are back together, and Elizabeth is off the case. It was honestly a big conflicts of interest anyway, but it must be awful knowing how those things work and having to sit back and do nothing. Carter is still with Lori, and right after she told her they were getting Taylor, Carter freaking ran away! You go Carter! The full episode will air next Tuesday and I will sure be tuning in. Unofficial Insurgent Review
I went to see Insurgent early yesterday, and I left a little confused. I was always staying positive throughout the marketing campaign, and I had really high hopes. Now, let me just say that I will need to see it many times before I can actually express my opinion. But I wasn't immensely impressed. They did follow the book for the most part, and I was happy with that. But I felt like it wasn't as exciting as when I read it. The pace was awkward at times, and certain things happen really quickly (they stay around 5 minutes in Amity). A lot of unnecessary action scenes were added. And Marlene's only scene was when she died... Overall, I loved how the Tobias-Evelyn relationship was played out. Caleb and Peter's betrayals were also well done. The box thing wasn't even as bad as it seemed, except that I wasn't sure about the one-simulation-for-each-faction thing. The thing I liked least is how Tris is always being saved by someone. She's supposed to be strong, but she didn't seem to be able to do much without Four. We also saw through her dreams that killing Will hunted her, but she wasn't scared to hold guns, which I think was an important part. I loved the blue projections on the buildings that showed Jeanine and then Edith Prior's messages. That looked cool! In the end, it was an action-packed film that had good and bad sides to it, but I'm not sure what other fans will think. In my opinion, it didn't beat Divergent.
After watching The 100 season 2 finale, I was left very confused about this artificial intelligence woman called Ali, and I was overall way too shocked by what happened throughout the episode to form coherent thoughts. After thinking about it all day, and reading interviews, it is now clear: The guy on the video that Murphy is watching created Ali, and she somehow “got the launch codes” and caused the nuclear “war”, if we can call it a war. It seems like I should’ve realised it before. Season 3 is going will be epic!
Jason Rothenberg told MTV:
It was really important for me to tell the story of how the world ended. We’ve never really dealt with that before. The scene in the bunker where Murphy sees the video of someone who was in some way involved with the creation of the AI known as Ali, and he’s killing himself for the guilt of the end of the world… Ali, you can assume, had something to do with that. [This] becomes part of the focus of the story in season three.

The 100 Season 2 Finale
Omg this episode was so good hard choices were made but I am really happy with how it ended. I'm just SO confused about it what happened with Jaha and Murphy why are there all those beautiful houses and who the fuck is that weird digital lady and is Java's "gift" omg we really have to wait till Fall??? And where is Clarke going for god's sake???
Clexa Betrayal
What do you guys think would've happened if Clarke had decided to be with Lexa? They kissed but Clarke made it clear she wasn't ready to be with anyone, but do you think Lexa would have chosen to betray her if she was her girlfriend?
THE 100 2x15 (spoilers)
Me when I started the episode: I hope Lexa survives I love her
Me when I finished the episode: I HATE LEXA SHE'S SUCH A BITCH I HOPE SHE DIES AND SUFFER
Let me just say this episode was everything I didn't expect. I somehow believed the plan would work and that both Lexa and Clarke would get their people back. But Lexa fucking accepted Mount Weather's deal, which DANTE F*CKING SUGGESTED.
I thought Dante didn't agree with his stupid son and I literally don't know why he decided to help him. I know if he didn't, it would've killed his people, but still I am so mad. I can't believe season 2 ends next week I'll be dying to see season 3.
This is kinda cool tbh.
