When life opens every door for you,
you begin to see that even light can blind.
And when you finally get what you wished for,
you realize the wanting itself was the only blessing you never understood.
Everything owned too much begins to lose its voice.
Things fade when abundance takes root.
And when thereโs nothing left to wait for,
time itself dulls, and the days lose their taste.
Fulfillment deceives with its glow
we call it peace, but itโs often a slow kind of death.
is to be free from wonder
and what is life without wonder?
Sometimes I miss the first ache of hunger,
the trembling hope that maybe, just maybe, it wonโt come true.
That fear was the pulse that kept me alive.
Boredom isnโt the enemy of the empty:
itโs the curse of those whoโve had too much
and lost the meaning of everything they touched.
When all your dreams have come true,
only the echo of who you were when you were still dreaming.
So perhaps sadness, loss, and longing
arenโt curses after all,
but the last threads that still tie us to life itself.
