We're a bodily 23 plural system. Collectively we use they/they&, ask pronouns for individual headmates. All headmates are adults. We ask that minors not interact because we rb or might post some nsft stuff on here from time to time. We dont want anyone whos bodily minor and/or in an age regressed minor state/ internally a minor age wise to interact basically. We may block minors or ageless blogs/ppl who dont mention if theyre an adult or minor just to avoid accidental interaction if they post in tags we follow/like
The desc is a reference to the mentions of chaos theory in Jurassic Park. (we also like the Jurassic World Chaos Theory show tho)
Block us if you dont want interaction from us for any reason. Sometimes we may forget to check the dni or byf of very popular post op's so that may be why we accidentally interacted.
We dont have a dni beyond mdni, we just block ppl if we strongly disagree w someones views or are on their dni, we just block freely for other reasons as well. We support all system types. Many headmates are aplatonic so we arent looking to make friends but are fine with talking to ppl on here so dms are fine, we just may not always be online frequently.
We are ND and have mild physical issues that are undiagnosed/mild disability bodily. We are also bodily intersex (PMOS) and bipoc. Many headmates are nonhuman in some way. Some headmates may label stuff they rb or post w an emoji sign off. No sideblogs as of now.
Some headmates are taken /polysaturated some might rarely be ok w flirting so either no flirting or ask to flirt if applicable. A lot of headmates are arospec (some are allosexual others dont label their sexual orientation or may be acespec) too so most dont want romantic interactions at all.
Stances below the cut, we often block ppl w differing stances / follow your own dni or if any of this makes you uncomfortable just block us :
-Pro fiction / Pro ship - we don't care what you ship, just avoid ships or fiction you dont like/ that trigger you, criticism of media in general (not just some obscure fanfic someone wrote for fun!) should be encouraged, anti-censorship
-Pro all queer and trans ppl, including "contradictory" identities (gaybian, anc trans labels, turigirl, etc.), pro intersex, anti - intersexism, coercive surgery/medication of intersex people
-Anti generative AI / feeding of creative works into AI
-Neu / complex view on rq/radqueer, we don't support abuse or inappropriate boundaries / interactions, not fully anti or pro, but transid neutral and feel its not a problem if they are respectful of what they call the "cis"identity. We have heard some rq spaces groom minors from former rq and we are obviously against that as its abuse. But we don't see the problem with many transids that are just 'I am wanting to be x thing/identity' in some way. Anti - xenosatanism, against harmful or bigoted ways ppl are encouraged to transition w a transid
-Pro therian, alterhuman, otherhearted, otherkin, etc. And we dont believe in fakeclaiming or claiming that only if you experience xyz you can be a nonhuman. Many of us in our system are nonhuman or in some way alterhuman. We also don't accept watering down of these terms / enforcing 'cringe culture' on other nonhumans. People who feel these identities on a more casual level / realised only recently are valid too. (and yes this includes factives, factkin, or those with "problematic" fictional sources or stigmatised experiences)
-Pro youth liberation
-Pro animal rights and environmental conservation, anti- ecofascism, if you're the type to insist everyone should be vegan we will probably block you
-Pro para, anti contact for abusive actions, pro recovery for those with paraphilic disorders / anyone who has distress or issues relating to paraphilias, pro darkfic / using fiction as an outlet for paraphilias
-Anti / neu leaning on 'consang', anti incest. We believe its often unhealthy and/or involves power imbalances (as far as it has been studied) so we don't encourage it, but think the 'inbreeding' argument is ableist/potentially leading towards eugenics and feel like you can't always convince consenting adults who are in such relationships to get out of them even if its unhealthy. And judgement / social ostracization of them may discourage them from seeking help if they need it and make it more dangerous to begin with. (Also we think very distant relatives or people who didn't know they were related until afterwards might not have many of these issues)
-Anti genocide, anti racism, being against genocide is not an excuse for being xenophobic/antisemitic, we are against islamophobia and antisemitism / other bigotry against religious or ethnoreligious groups
-Accepting of all religious beliefs /lack thereof
-ACAB, anti military/war
-Anti- capitalism and fascism
-Pro-choice, pro reproductive rights and inclusive, age appropriate sex ed
-Anti-psych(as an establishment- look into this term before assuming its being against ppl who require psychiatric treatment or being anti medication), pro recovery, pro informed self diagnosis, pro cluster b, schizospec, and other stigmatised disorders, We don't believe "narc abuse/bpd abuse/etc." is a real thing. Its not a separate type of abuse and many of you are just armchair diagnosing your abuser/someone you don't like, anti-fakeclaiming
-Against stigmatising or ostracizing those with drug addictions / substance use disorders, pro recovery, pro needle exchange / safe injection programmes
-Anti ableism, pro disability rights and accessibility, physically disabled people do not owe you their diagnosis either
-Anti -transmed / truscum, we are against usage of tme/tma, transandrophobia is real, anti-exorsexism
- Hormonally intersex people count as intersex, perisex ppl have no business reclaiming intersexist slurs
-Anti-terf / 'tirf' / radfem, or whatever else theyre calling themselves these days
-Pro sex work, anti- swerf, anti - trafficking of any kind
-Legality =/= morality/ethics because laws may allow unethical things or be against things that are not unethical
-Pro all system/plurality types including endogenic, anti-sysmed, plurals or systems do not owe you information about their origin or diagnosis if applicable

I was talking to my husband the other day and, as a random example of a boring topic that nobody at a party would want to hear about, I happened to come up with, “The history of wheelbarrows.”
But then my husband and I got curious and decided to look up the history of wheelbarrows, and we both thought it was surprisingly interesting.
The very next day, we were visiting a thrift store with family and my sister spotted a toy wheelbarrow for her son, and my husband said, “Did you know that Jesus was older than wheelbarrows? They weren’t invented until around 100 CE.”
This is why curious people are my favorite type of people. No topic is really that boring when you look into it. And everything is more interesting when you talk about it with someone you love.
When the country doesn’t have easily accessible public libraries, piracy is sometimes the only option. They’ve been collaborating with the police to arrest poor street vendors and small book shop owners. Evil, just evil
please read this even if you're not indian. especially if you're not indian.
you've seen the jokes. india is "dirty", indians are "everywhere", why don't they fix their own country. ok. let me tell you why, and what's happening right now while nobody's watching.
first, the history you skipped: britain ruled india for two centuries and drained it. economist utsa patnaik's research estimates around $45 trillion in today's money was taken. the india that got independence in 1947 was one of the poorest countries on earth. every "why is india like this" question starts there. you don't get to profit off a robbery and then mock the crime scene.
now, what's happening RIGHT NOW:
in may the question paper for NEET leaked. that's the national medical entrance exam. over 2.2 million students took it. cancelled. years of studying, families' savings poured into coaching, gone overnight because someone sold the paper. students died by suicide after. these were kids who wanted to be doctors.
and out of that came a protest movement. a gen z group called the cockroach janta party, started by a 30 year old named abhijeet dipke, got 22 million instagram followers within DAYS. they've been doing a sit-in at jantar mantar in delhi demanding education minister dharmendra pradhan resign.
and then there's sonam wangchuk. if you've watched 3 idiots, he's the real engineer the character was based on. built solar schools in ladakh. invented ice stupas so himalayan villages have water. spent his whole life on education. he's 59 and he's been on hunger strike for 17+ days now. reporters went to see him this week and he was too weak to talk. and the troll armies are calling him "anti national" and "foreign funded". a man starving himself for other people's children. that's the thing here, anyone who asks a question is suddenly a traitor.
it's not one incident, it's everywhere you look:
• infrastructure worth thousands of crores failing within months of the ribbon cutting. tunnels collapsing in regions where heavy rain is a guarantee, not a surprise.
• youth unemployment near 10% for ages 15 to 29, 13.6% in cities. in a country of 1.42 billion where more than half the population is young.
• only about the top 3% of indians earn above 10 lakh a year. meanwhile billionaire wealth keeps ballooning and the headlines celebrate it.
• manipur burned for over two years. an ethnic conflict, tens of thousands displaced, and the prime minister barely said the word manipur while it happened.
• journalists raided. critics' houses bulldozed. activists sitting in jail for years without trial under laws like UAPA. our press freedom ranking has cratered.
• even the petrol is a fight now, ethanol blending pushed through while drivers complain about their engines and get no straight answers.
and through all of it, the PM, who came to power on religious polarisation (americans, sound familiar?), travels abroad for photo ops and has not held one single open press conference in over a decade. not one.
what i'm asking:
if you're not indian: share this. our media mostly won't cover any of it because the big outlets are owned by the same billionaires the government serves. the only reason wangchuk's fast is getting any coverage is people refusing to look away.
if you ARE indian: speak up even if you're comfortable. especially if you're comfortable. join the protests. add to this, correct me, translate it. staying quiet is a choice when nothing in this post touches your life.
india is not "dirty". india was robbed, and it's being robbed again, from the inside this time. but it's also the country where a 59 year old will starve for strangers' kids and 22 million young people will rally behind a party literally named after cockroaches, because cockroaches survive everything.
delhi police lathi-charged the protesters with batons and tear gas. five metro stations were shut down to stop people from even reaching the site. mobile internet was cut in parts of central delhi. the stage at jantar mantar was dismantled. sonam wangchuk's wife, gitanjali angmo, was pushed around in the crowd. people on the ground are reporting that doctors who had set up first aid on site were beaten. eyewitnesses say children, minors, were caught in the violence. people are also reporting that stone-filled trucks appeared near the protest site in the middle of the night, before cameras arrived — the kind of "evidence" that gets used to reframe a peaceful protest as a riot. the government is calling it provocation. the protesters are calling it a setup.
the congress president mallikarjun kharge said in parliament: "students have been beaten. the government is attempting to stifle dissent." samajwadi party mp dimple yadav said "today will be remembered as a black day for democracy." even some of the police who carried out the orders apparently looked ashamed. that's how wrong this was.
and through all of it the prime minister has not held a single open press conference in over a decade in power. not one.
what you can do right now:
if you are not going to the protests — and most of us can't — please send an email. right now. it takes two minutes.
demand the resignation of education minister dharmendra pradhan. you don't have to write anything long. "i am writing to demand the resignation of dharmendra pradhan over the NEET paper leak and the violence against peaceful protesters on july 20, 2026" is enough.
if you want to support the people on the ground: volunteers at the protest site need supplies. you can send things through blinkit to the jantar mantar / kerala house area, or get in contact with someone there and coordinate directly. the local gurudwara has been housing and feeding many of the protesters — donations there go directly to people who need it. you can also donate to
sachkhandfoundation4073@icici
who are feeding the students and helping them directly at the protest.
students were beaten to death at a peaceful protest in delhi.
let that sit for a second.
they weren't throwing anything. they weren't rioting. they were sitting in the scorching july heat asking for one thing, accountability for a leaked exam that destroyed lakhs of futures. and the government sent in police with batons.
minors were beaten. children. women. civilians.
sonam wangchuk is on day 24 of a hunger strike. our government forcefully detained him in front of everyone.
we are not okay. india is not okay.
racism against indians is at an all time high globally. we get mocked for how we live. britain spent 200 years extracting wealth from india. our own government spent the last decade doing the same thing, we are mocked for the poverty that was built for us by the people who now look down on us for it.
our media won't cover any of this. it was bought. the ruling party owns the narrative and anyone who challenges it gets raided, jailed, or beaten.
they declared themselves gods (literally they did, their faces edited over gods). they are using violence against children to prove it.
i am asking international media to look at india right now.
and if you're anywhere in the world and you're reading this — say something. you don't have to be indian. you just have to give a damn.
the thing about Tangled is that this is a story geared towards little girls (even if it's "fun for the whole family," it's a disney princess movie, it's geared towards little girls), and it says, "here is a girl who is naive and doesn't know anything about the 'Real World' or how to navigate it safely and correctly. now pay close attention: the good guys are the ones who help her grow and explore new things while still respecting her own perspective and feelings, not making her feel stupid. the bad guys are the ones who tell her that she is too weak/immature/naive to do the things she wants to do, because she is fragile and needs protecting." and I watched this when I was nine years old and it resonated deep in a part of me that I couldn't articulate with words yet.

I'm kinda of just. in a negative mood, I apologize if any of this is poorly worded/rude
I feel really. off about people calling the use of radio-collar IDs (or just the general use of an ID#) a trend. As if everyone's going to stop doing it once the "hype dies down".
Not off in the way like I'm "in" on this "trend". It's moreso I heavily dislike the assumption that everyone is only doing it because it's seemingly popular.
While yes, it has "suddenly" cropped up all over the alterhuman space. I really feel like it's just. other creatures realizing they can identify in a whole new way that resonates with their lifestyle.
Maybe those who felt like something was missing, finally got the last piece in their identity.
Or maybe because someone simply does not like using "human" names.
Or maybe some have already had ID#s, or something similar, and finally felt comfortable to go by theirs after seeing others do it. (namely, me.)
I feel like that's a big part of being in a community: Sharing your experiences and self and others learning new things and ways they can express themselves. Someone feeling relief when another is able to put something they experience into words they couldn't find themselves.
I don't know. Maybe I'm just being sensitive. It just irks me.
There is currently no word for "the experiences that give rise to therianthropy." The therian community has a million different terms for pieces of it - mental shifts, phantom shifts, sensory shifts, etc. I propose a new term. Hear me out:
Zoesthesia ("zo-esthesia", from the Greek "zōion" [life/animal] and "aisthesis" [perception]): "The subjective inner non-human animal experiences that give rise to therianthropy."
Therianthropy is an identity. Zoesthesia is the root of that identity, and can include all forms of shifts therians have previously described. Zoesthesia can be experienced from a young age and can occur before one's identity forms, before one knows the words for what they're experiencing. It is the "happening" behind the curtain - instinct. Consider:
It's neutral, even if it sounds like it implies a neurological bias.
It doesn't replace "therianthropy" as a term.
It sounds similar to synesthesia - the crossing of the senses in the brain, which is not seen as a disorder.
It's a spectrum, just like synesthesia - everyone's experiences are different.
Using "zoesthete" instead of "therian" is possible, though it does not imply any sort of identity, nor does it imply that one interprets these experiences as belonging to any specific non-human animal. This is primarily to describe "therianthropy underneath the hood."
It is not exclusive. We could use it to account for spiritual experiences as well - past life memories, "auras," the whole nine yards. If you think about it, all of those things also occur in your brain. Literally everything does. Your brain is hallucinating its own version of reality right now, and everything "spiritual" that you believe is just based on something your brain experienced. And everything that appears to be "external" is a recreation of it by your neurons.
What's The Point?
I suggest this because of the latest happenings globally within the therian community. A lot of young people in China, for example, think that "therian" is a fandom they can join. Younger folks globally should know that becoming more aware of the happenings in their consciousness is the point - not joining a fandom or getting likes on TikTok.
I believe that the way we do that is by turning the focus beyond identity, toward the inner experiences that lead to that identity. Time and time again, I've heard non-therians say "You can't identify as an animal, that's just not possible." There are significantly more convincing ways to talk about the experiences we have. Zoesthesia has my vote.
A more general, similarly neutral version of this that would apply to all alterhumans would be "allosthesia," from the Greek "allos" (other) and "aisthesis."
For those who are averse to using new terminology such as this:
Using current terminology, it could be said that a "therian" is someone who identifies as a non-human animal, and "therianthropy" is the subjective inner animal experience and the mechanisms that might cause one to shift or remain shifted. Many online resources do not describe therianthropy this way. On Wikipedia, therianthropy is defined as "the enduring experience of identifying as a nonhuman animal." You have to read through 9 paragraphs before reading anything about the actual experience. On Therian Guide, therianthropy isn't even defined - "therianthrope" is. At least there, the experience is in focus, rather than the identity. Meanwhile, Therian Territory defines therianthropy as "the involuntary experience of animalistic behavior/instincts/urges/traits" - which is the best I've seen so far. But they have a YouTube channel, not a website.
Whether something new is adopted or we continue to use old terms, it would be sensible if each of these sites could come to some consensus on what it actually is. From the outside looking in, it appears as if nobody knows what they're talking about. To the trained eye, it smells like BS. But let's say the people who manage each of these platforms are actually able to do that and it was made crystal clear that there is an actual distinct term for the experience and a different term for the identity - and the experience is the primary focus moving forward. The term "therian" is still suffering from disinformation campaigns that are resulting in thousands of people taking to the streets to catch a glimpse of these "freaks" in countries all around the world. This may be temporary, but it is fresh in people's minds and may live there for a long time. So many therians are afraid to share themselves, even with their own friends - again.
No one knows about zoesthesia, and if it can be prioritized by researchers first and foremost, I believe it could drive a renaissance for the global community. This term could be used in scientific circles - something that researchers can use to refer to and study our experiences. Provided that researchers take this up, I think it could have a very positive impact. If it does catch on, maybe the focus on inner experiences over identity will result in a positive shift in the kinds of conversations people are having about therianthropy throughout the world.
Such a change would be a long-haul, though. Research takes a lot of time, money, and an incentive to even perform that research. Until that happens, the next best thing would be to create an international organization with the intent to define, translate, and localize terms such as zoesthesia and therianthropy. Without either of these things, you can expect more of the same.
This topic is actually what I was trying to get at with my alterdysphoria/euphoria post! The community is lacking in broad terms to refer to alterhuman experiences that aren't constrained by a specific identity label, which leads to a lot of confusion and division, particularly in people new to the community.
Not only is therianthropy a purposely vague word (it's just "the experience of identifying as an animal"), but things like shifts, dysphoria/euphoria, and noemata are also experienced by non-therians (e.g. otherhearts or people who only use transspecies, draconic, etc). Having a catch-all term for internal animalistic experiences that includes everyone who has them would be great, both for intra-community discussion and research purposes.
I also agree with your comment on this post that having a broader version that includes non-animalistic experiences is needed, for which I'd suggest "alterthesia", defined as "the internal experiences that constitute an alterhuman identity" (and one could conceivably create other subcategories, like fictothesia for fictionfolk).
I've suggested allosthesia ("all-o's-thesia") in the original post because:
1. Both roots come from the same language.
2. It is similar to other scientific terms such as allostasis, which is similar to homeostasis but refers to adaptation to changing conditions.
3. I structured both terms in a way that avoids referring to any specific existing community, and by definition do not need to. Therefore, zoesthesia would mean "the subjective experience of non-human animal traits, instincts, and urges that may lead to a non-human animal identity" and allosthesia "the subjective experience of traits, instincts, urges, and etc. that may lead to an identity based on a species, concept, or form of consciousness different to one's species."
But - the first root word of zoesthesia is "zoe," meaning animal or life. Literally "life perception," it could simply refer to the way your consciousness feels (your qualia), and therefore encompass all forms of alterhumans. Allosthesia achieves the same purpose in a different way. I'm not sure which one I like more.
Wanting a lack of reference to an existing community makes sense, though I'd also argue that "alter" is just another root and the issue is more with the definition I suggested. Like with the "alterdysphoria" terms I mentioned I don't like that it mixes root languages but English does that a lot anyway, and with broad community terms anything new that doesn't have a somewhat self-explanatory meaning tends to not catch on because nobody can remember it ^^;
As I said in the comments "allo" as a root has a lot of associations with the queer community so that's an option that would lead to confusion. The "zoo" root, on the other hand, makes it an implied therian-centric word even if it can technically refer to life in general, so I'm disinclined to suggest it to anyone who doesn't have an animalistic identity because those people already struggle with a lack of terminology that was created specifically to include them (see my alterdysphoria post)(and also! not everyone has living things as their identity). Broadening the meaning of zoethesia also brings us back to square one with not having a term more specific to the experience of therianthropy. "Ontothesia" is probably a better option for a broad term that doesn't reference alterhumanity.
If anyone following me (or otherwise reading this) has a non-animalistic identity I'd love to hear your thoughts!
