Seems like a lot of people think Gale and Anders would be friends because they're both mages who love cats, but if Gale somehow ended up in Kirkwall during DA2 I'd be a bit concerned that Anders would ask him to use the magical nuke in his chest to blow up the chantry.

gale would explain that the bomb would likely take out the entirety of kirkwall and then some and anders would go "oh that's not what I want. damn it. I'll have to figure out a smaller bomb" and gale would activate Nerd Mode and be like "oh! I have ideas for that actually!! also please let me interview you and your resident spirit about your whole sharing of a body experience i am fascinated"

It’s really funny (it’s not I’m actually quite upset about it) that they had to lore retcon how the Dalish deal with too many mages™ because if they hadn’t, Lavellan would’ve been correct 100% of the time about everything. They realized that the Dalish were direct proof that circles were completely unnecessary and thus had to nerf them so they looked like just as shitty of an option
