Every so often I come across a new Mighty Nein fan in the wild that has been mildly spoiled regarding the whole "Essek redemption arc" thing and it's always fun to see because you just *know* all they are expecting some fairly standard "power of friendship" scenario....

Raise your hand if you’re a character who’s labeled as boring and uninteresting by the fandom and the insufferable fangirls of another character in your game when you’re not at all boring, people just don’t take the time to get to know you and your personality just because you’re not a snotty rude white vampire or a 6’7 alien who’s always committing police brutality and because the writers and developers fucked up your writing but instead of holding them accountable the fans take it out on you and constantly treat you like the villain for having valid feelings about certain situations like your romantic partner joining a terrorist organization or you being upset that your body was horrifically changed against your will and despite that you continue to be selfless and kind and loving and- Oh hey Kaidan and Wyll, what are you doing here ?
