Today is turn for James & Lily Potter! I checked out some wiki articles before drawing them and I fliped out realising they were 22 or 23 when Voldemort murdered them. #inktober2018 day 31 #slice ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The slices of bread close to the fire got toasted quickly. The druid served the fox one slice with a sausage and droped some oil on it. That was his favourite breakfast. After it, they went out to pick some wood, as every day. The perennial winter at North of the Great Poisonous Briar Patch was relentless so, all precaution was little. Wheather gave landscape some kind of monotony. It was true that there would be some changes after every storm. Despite of it, it would be such as predictable. That was something they loved: there was a natural order and they knew where to find the ingredients they need. It was a tranquil place... well, sometimes it was axcessively tranquil, but they did not need great adventures. They had already gone through some and those were exhausting. However, as breakfast sausages were the last they had, the druid and the fox should cross to the South to look for a whale or to make some business... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ *** ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Las rebanadas de pan se tostaban al fuego rápidamente. El druida le sirvió al zorro una con una salchicha y le echó un chorro de aceite encima. Era su desayuno preferido. Después salieron a recoger leña, como todos los días. El perenne invierno era implacable al Norte del Gran Zarzal Venenoso y la precaución nunca sobraba. El clima dotaba al paisaje de cierta monotonía. Si bien el paisaje cambiaba con cada tormenta, todo era relativamente previsible. Eso era algo que les encantaba: todo tenía un orden natural y ellos sabía dónde encontrar los ingredientes que necesitaban para sus pócimas. Era un lugar tranquilo... bueno, a veces aquella tranquilidad se volvía un tanto excesiva, pero no hacía falta vivir grandes aventuras: ya habían pasado por unas cuantas y eran agotadoras. #inktober2018 day 30 #jolt ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Some seconds later, the shooting stars began to vibrate and shining. A jolt shaked the druid when those jumped from his hands. The stars flew in circles around the fox body until it raised from the ground. Then the stars flew in spiral faster and faster around the floating fox body. Shining increased till the two stars joined in front of the fox. Then a new jolt droped the druid backwards. After that the shining disapeared. The druid woke up and there was the fox sitting in fornt of him. He was stearing at him with wide eyes. Now the fox looked different, he had another color. Before saying a word, the fox jumped on him and licked his face happily. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ *** ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Unos segundos más tarde las estrellas comenzaron a vibrar y emitir luz. El druida sintió un sacudida cuando éstas saltaron de sus manos y comenzaron a flotar en círculos al rededor del zorro. El pequeño cuerpo se elevó del suelo y las estrellas volaron en espiral cada vez más rápido a su alrededor. La luz fue cada vez más intensa hasta que las dos estrellas se juntaron frente al zorro. Entonces una nueva sacudida y una explosión de luz le hicieron caer de espaldas. Después todo volvió a la calma. Cuando se incorporó, se encontró al zorro sentado mirándolo con los ojos bien abiertos. Pero ahora ya no era como antes, tenía un nuevo color. #inktober2018 day 29 #double The fox was extreamly weak and almost white. The druid left him carefuly on the ground and went to the giant warrior's body. He observed it for a while. Bones had remins of color but a different one than the fox color. In a few hours, he had seen twice as many colors as in his entire life. That was doble than anyone would ever see, provably. Then, something shined inside the giant's rib cage. He climbed up the leg avoiding brambles. Once up, he streched his arm to pull from that shining thing. As he had thought, there was a star in the giant – or was the giant himself a star? He still did not have that clear -. So, that should have provocated the Great Poisonous Briar Patch incident in the past. He went down. The fox moaned and an almost traslucent star went out his body. The druid put the new star next to the other. However, he did not know how it worked or what he had to do. He asked the fox... he had no answer. The fox had stoped breathing. Tears came to the druid eyes. In his hands, two shooting stars. It was doble than anybody would desire owning and he did not care at all... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ *** ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ El druida dejó con cuidado al zorro en el suelo. Estaba muy débil y prácticamente blanco. Se acercó a los restos del gran guerrero y lo observó: sus huesos estaban teñidos de color, pero era diferente del que el zorro había tenido. En pocas horas ya había visto el doble de colores que en toda su vida. Eso era el doble de lo que nadie vería jamás, seguramente. Algo brilló en la caja torácica del gigante. Trepó por su pierna y, evitando las zarzas, alargó el brazo para tirar de aquello. Como se esperaba, el gran guerrero poseía una estrella -¿o era una estrella?, eso no lo tenía muy claro- y eso habría provocado el descontrol del Gran Zarzal Venenoso en el pasado. Bajó de inmediato y se acercó al zorro que gimió. #inktober2018 day 28 #gift ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Relief lasted no longer. The fox was worse. He had lost too much Magic. As a shooting star, a record passed through his mind. The druid took the fox and run to the North. Long time ago, the Great Poisonous Briar Patch became a menace: It was growing out of control to the South and nearby villages could not stop it. So, inhabitants left their homes. His druid teachers knew his aknoledge of botany and his hability to talk with plants. So they choosed him to evaluate the problem and take a decision concerning the Briar. It took a while getting answers from the Great Poisonous Briar Patch because even it did not know the reason why was uncontrolled. The Briar had always protecteded South inhabitants but after having stoped a northern giant warrior and his horde of beasts, everithing got caothic. The druid convinced the Great Briar not to feed from that place where the warrior body was anymore. Then everithing turned right again. Likewise, he explained the druid teachers the Great Poisonous Briar Patch was crucial to the South survival and it had to be preserved. His teachers understood that it was a gods' gift and encomended him taking care of it. Since then, the druid had been living close to it. With the fox in his arms, the druid asked the Great Poisonous Briar Patch to gide him to where the giant warrior's body was. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ *** ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ El alivio no duró. La salud del zorro empeoraba, había perdido demasiada magia. Como una estrella fugaz, un recuerdo cruzó su mente. Cogió al zorro en brazos y corrió hacia el Norte. Tiempo ha, el Gran Zarzal Venenoso se había vuelto una amenaza: no paraba de expandirse hacia el Sur y los pueblos colindantes habían sido abandonados al no poder detener su avance. Los maestros druidas lo escogieron a él, por su gran conocimiento de botánica y habilidad para comunicarse con las plantas, para que evaluara el problema y decidiera qué hacer con el Zarzal. #inktober2018 day 27 #thunder ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Basilisks are fierce and dangerous beasts. Also they are hard to kill. Even more, some of them still fight after death. There had been registred cases in which a decapitated one had been fighting for days. But this was not this basilisk case: its skin resistence had been reduced because of fire. So, the hedgehog thorns stabed into its weakened skin easily. It was critic damage. But not for wounds themselves. The beast had signed its death sentence with the previous attack: not only it cut the druid's coat but also crashed some of the bottles he kept in hiden pockets. Between them there was the bottle in wich the druid had put the Great Poisonous Briar patch poison – extracted from the fox wounds -. Poison fell over the hedgehog thorns. So when those stabed in his body, poison mixed with its blood and Magic. It produced a chain reaction that made the beast swollen and swollen. At the end, with a last howl as strong as a thunder, it exploded. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ *** ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Los basiliscos son bestias feroces y muy peligrosas que no sucumben fácilmente. Algunas incluso luchan más allá de la muerte: existen casos documentados de basiliscos que, aún decapitados, han seguido luchando durante días. No obstante, la resistencia de la piel de éste se había visto mermada por el fuego y las espinas del erizo druida hendieron la tierna carne con facilidad. El daño fue crítico. Pero no por las heridas en sí. El basilisco había firmado su sentencia con el golpe previo: no solo cortó algunas espinas y rasgó la capa sino que también rompió algunos de los frascos que el druida guardaba en bolsillos secretos. Entre ellos, el bote que contenía el veneno del Gran Zarzal Venenoso - que el druida había extraído de las heridas del zorro- empapando las espinas del erizo. Éste, al entrar en contacto con la sangre mezclada con la magia, desestabilizó el vínculo y provocó una serie de reacciones en cadena. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Life passed in front of his eyes. He made a review of the last hours but also saw his childhood and family in a warmest place. When he started loving botany, he was really young. First day of class at druid school and some troubles he had because his thorns... Then was when he got used to wear clothes to avoid problems. As well as another beings have retractil claws, they can control their thorns. However, hedgehogs cannot always control another being approaching too much. After the hit he stayed still listening to the beast wings. The beast should have been deciding what to do. On his right, a slow movement of the fox body showed it was still alive but too weak. If wings came at this speed, it would mean the beast came for the fox. But he listenend to a buzz again. It meant one thing: The beast was coming to attack him. The druid waited till almost feel the beast breath. Then, he screwed his body but streched his thorns as much as he could. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ *** ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ La vida le había pasado por delante de sus ojos. Hizo repaso de las últimas horas, pero también vio su infancia con su familia en una zona más cálida. El despertar de su interés por la botánica desde bien pequeño o el primer día en la escuela de druidas y los problemas que tuvo por sus espinas. Fue entonces cuando se acostumbró a llevar prendas que evitaran esos sustos: como los seres que tienen uñas retráctiles, ellos también pueden controlar el ángulo de sus espinas. Pero lo que un erizo no puede controlar es que otro se acerque demasiado... Tras el golpe, había permaneció quieto escuchando el batir de las alas de la bestia. Ésta debía estar decidiendo qué hacer. A su derecha, la leve oscilación del torso del zorro denotaba que seguía vivo pero sin ánimo de moverse. De haberse acercado el batir de alas a ese ritmo habría significado que la bestia iba a llevarse al zorro. Pero escuchó de nuevo aquel zumbido. Solo podía significar una cosa: la bestia iba a atacarle.
