Was reading some old asks and saw the one about Alastor, knowing tori would be weaker without voxs magic, would trick him into giving magic with a number of deals and like
Vox going along with the first deal without thinking but itās fine, he gets this olive branch to be with Alastor on neutral grounds and the magic he demand vox hand over is quite a lot but nothing he canāt get back.
And then Alastor ask they meet in person for this, continuously, in neutral grounds as long as he agrees not to hurt or go after whoever it is heās bringing with him. The multiple layers of protection for whoever she is feels a bit excessive so probably not Rosie, maybe itās Mimzy acting as a mediator and thatās why Alastor is worried for her.
He agrees and a few days later they meet up in a cafe or something (āwhy are you so against going to a bar? Weāre all adults here, donāt give me that look.ā)
And thereās just. A tiny Alastor. With his eyes. And his magic has been going to her this whole time. And he canāt even speak with her without Al stopping him. And there are so many layers to this deal he canāt even see her outside of this. He doesnāt even get to know his daughters name that first time. His end of season two crashout aināt got nothing on this.
(I imagine the one thing Alastor didnāt account for was probably Tori wanting to go to Vox on her own after knowing who her other parent was)
Sorry for the wait, this answer ended up being a lot longer than I expected. This was a pretty fun scenario to read from my inbox and to expand on!
You underestimate the hoops Alastor would jump through to keep Vox from finding out about Tori. His goal is for his ex enemy/rival to never learn about their daughter's existence until she's old enough to run away from him and run away from him successfully.
To counter the requirement of either of them ever meeting, Alastor would find a way to incorporate Vox's power into his own body and "feed" it to Tori in doses so she doesn't go into magical shock and become super dependent on it.
Also, instead of blatantly making deals that has him asking for Vox's power, Alastor instead made transferring some of his power over to Alastor as a penalty for breaking whatever terms he'd set. Because of course he would. And Vox would accidentally/stupidly break the terms since Alastor phrased the deal in a way that baited him. Because of course he would. Alastor would get the magic as a penalty and act all offended but also not disappointed because "of course you'd spit at the generous offer I've given you, imagine if this had been a partnership!" and Vox would grovel and scrape and wheedle for another olive branch and even offer to heighten the stakes himself and Alastor would "reluctantly" agree. And so, a pattern begins.
This dynamic would be kept on the down low and separate from the Vee Tower and the Hazbin Hotel, so everyone would be oblivious to this throughout Season 1 - Toriās sudden electricity powers emerging aside. Tori's existence would also be hidden from the rest of Hell and Season 1 would function pretty much the same beside from minor incidents.
It's Season 2 when things shift abruptly. By that point, Vox would start to catch on that the magic that he gives to Alastor doesn't exactly stay with him but is being transferred somewhere else. To someone else. When he tries to get Angel Dust to spill the beans, Vox only gets a mention of an "important person" of Alastor who is a "she" before the spider demon's trap is sewn shut by Alastor's magic from a deal/agreement struck concerning that subject. Vox is, predictably, extremely jealous and he throws a fit, abruptly ending the power exchange agreement they have going on when Alastor resolutely hid her identity from him no matter how much he offered/bargained/begged.
Alastor at this point is still healing from his angelic wound and with a barely patched together staff. To have Vox suddenly stop donating his magic on top of all of that, his fawn is pretty much open and vulnerable to the world. The best she has is her camoflauge and ability to hide, but the hotel has been getting too much attention and her anonymity won't hold for long. So, getting out of Rosie's leash and somehow getting Vox to donate a HUGE chunk of his power so Alastor would never have to depend on him ever again are his priorities. Thus, the Plan was born and Alastor submitted himself into the Vees' custody with the additional "you'll have to give me some of your magic whenever I ask you with zero questions asked if you break our agreement". Vox doesn't blink at that since it's their usual exchange. This was going to be perfect. Alastor was confident that he'll come out on top.
What he didn't expect was for Tori, who now no longer had any foreknowledge to work off of, to hear about his captivity, panic to the point of a breakdown, and plot to break into the Vee Tower and free him. He also didn't expect for her to be so successful that she makes it all the way up to the penthouse. Then, Vox catches her. Then, their eyes meet.
(Then, they both realize the truth while Alastor watches with the closest thing to dismay. Nothing goes to plan from there.)

Nora and Tori now have their refs! Tried to include as much detail as I could while keeping them simple haahh... Then all of the detailing went into the witchlight canisters chdlfhdfhoj
They're still very stylized to show the differences on the body but... Even then it's fun to just notice clear differences compared to Torbek lol
Re: child of divorce au
Once (if at all) the nature of Toriās existence becomes known to the general public, what sort of theories pop up about how she was conceived?
Maybe someone links her conception with Lilith's absence and concludes that only the strongest sinner in Hell can produce children, which would be a really irritating way for Alastor's power to be recognized.
Some theories:
Mpreg: the classic. Either through magic (which isn't possible but many non magic practicers are ignorant about that) or because Alastor is trans (another theory linked to this theory).
Science. Vox somehow found a way to manufacture a whole ass child because he can't express his psychosexual obsession with Alastor normally. Alastor found out and snatched the child away to raise by himself.
A mix of both. Tori isn't Vox's child at all. She's Alastor's clone.
Royal Meddling. Alastor (and Vox, his involvement is debatable) somehow convince Lilith to make having a baby possible for them. This is somehow the reason why she disappeared.

I was rereading a child of divorce and got to the part about Toriās allergy. Was her food really swapped on accident or did someone (Rosie or Alastor or someone with a grudge) potentially change her food on purpose? I can see younger Tori avoiding eating meat because of cannibalism, and maybe someone noticed her being picky. I can see alastor or Rosie swapping the food to get her to eat it and then reveal the cannibalism to show itās not a big deal. Idk, Iām probably really off the mark
I just really love ur fic and want to explore all the nooks and crannies!
While Alastor would have preferred that Tori took to eating Sinner Meat as it was more convenient (they were in Cannibal Town, after all), he also wanted her to like it on her own terms. He didnāt want to force her to eat it, oh no. That would only sour the experience and drive her to hate it out of spite no matter how much she actually liked it! (That would be Alastorās reaction, the brat.) So, her choice mattered. Rosie respected Alastorās (and Toriās) decision. The swap was done carelessly by an unnamed cannibal server, most likely because they didnāt think that any mix up would matter as the dish was fundamentally the same.
Obviously, they were wrong.
Tori was fine with eating meat before this incident as long as it wasnāt Sinner Meat. She loved eating sausages, bacon, and meat patties. After this incident, though, she never touched red meat again. She didnāt trust another accidental swap from happening again. Alastor wouldāve been irritated by this if he hadnāt had a front row seat to the allergic reaction and the doctor confirming that her survival was only due to her throwing everything back up.
