i can’t read any more takes about the lightning scene…………you guys whine and moan and bitch about zks “not respecting” canon or whatever the fuck that means - BUT THEN u guys also want so badly to rewrite katara and zuko’s arcs because everything they’ve done together and for each other has more gravity than that little boy trying to get out of the friendzone for three whole seasons! if zuko would have taken that lightning strike for anyone, then aang would have also given up cosmic power for sokka’s dirty left sock if that was what woke him up from the iceberg! and also……….why are you reducing katara’s character and comparing her to……………..animals……….? that’s very telling idk. i hope you guys understand these aren’t real people and the writing choices were intentional - just as you claim your endgame to be LMFAO - and zuko DID take lightning for katara. trying to frame it into something he would have done for anyone else can’t and won’t erase the fact that - at the end of the day - HE TOOK IT FOR KATARA. zuko took the lightning strike for katara. zuko outran the speed of light for katara. zuko would have died for katara - if not for katara. he asked katara to fight with him against azula. if things were reversed - and it was aang that took it for katara - u ppl wouldn’t be able to SHUT UP about how it’s the peak of all epic romances………how it’s the most romantic thing a character has ever done and how kataang are Hashtag Meant To Be and No One Will Ever Come Close 🥺! but unfortunately, aang has never done and will never do anything that selfless for katara. stop crying about it and enjoy ur canon incelship in peace. rewatch that leaked movie or something. rewatch lok and see how great of a father aang is! i’m sure that’ll make you feel better!
