The Caduceus (two snakes, the one they used) represents Hermes. Not only is he the messenger god but he is also the god who brings people to the underworld (which makes this mix up doubly bad). Essentially, this artwork is like the hospital is saying “Don’t worry Grim Reaper, we’ll kill and bring these patients to the underworld ourselves!” 💀

Ron Mueck, “In Bed” 2005. This hyperrealist sculptor creates massive pieces that are so real they’re difficult to disbelieve. I saw one in person a year ago at the Manchester museum of art and was amazed.
