Anyway sorry for rambling on lol I know a small bit about it from my former barista job so I thought I might be able to shed some light on why cold brew is so inconsistent. That said if it's something like you get the same thing from the same store every time and the quality is so inconsistent then well oof they need more quality control XD

Honestly 99% of my cold brew exposure was from this ice cream and coffee shop on my college campus that usually had part time college students working there so I don't think much quality control was going on LOL.

But it could be just a Me thing like I'm The Problem. Cold brew for the most part usually tastes kind of acidic to me? Most of the time if it's subtle, I don't mind it, but sometimes the acidic flavor hits you. Idk if it's just steeped for too long or too little time or what lol.

But also I think I'm just kind of sensitive to coffee being acidic. Keurig coffee tastes similar to me, but my coworkers don't taste it like i do. The worst acid tasting coffee I have ever had was actually a latte from Taco Bell. Worst then even the most acidic cold brew.

But idk what about cold brew where it has that taste like...most of the time lol. To me at least.
