Rabbit teeth grow continuously, so anything you allow near them needs to be safe for them to chew on/something you are okay with being destroyed. Recommendations include cardboard, seagrass mats, wicker baskets, apple sticks, and other untreated wood. Baby keys and stacking cups and slinkies have been known to be interacted with. Anti-recommended are the baseboard, heirloom furniture, and phone charging cords (aka spicy hay). Just hanging out on the floor with them is good, too. They like it when you are on their level, and being picked up is generally a point against you. Just be sure to have old clothes you don't mind getting nibbled on.

Abaolutely fun fact, rabbits are great at disposing of sensitive documents.

Also please be sure beforehand that you aren't allergic to both the rabbit and the hay. The hay is rather significant.

#mine doesn't gaf about hay but that's fine we're allergic and he eats essentially hay pellets I keep filled up #hmm. cardboard cat scratches under chair legs are excellent for redirecting chewing instincts away from your walls and such #cord covers in my experience don't work that well it's just a new thing to chew on and ingest plastic and die #also mine doesn't like music he either tunes it out as background noise or interprets it as like rabbits screaming or smth #freaks him out

As of June 29, 2026 the law discussed here is a recently passed California state law (AB 1043) that requires age validation before using a computer connected to the internet. This is expected to happen at the operating system level, when you login to Windows, MacOS, Linux, etc.

Ageless Linux intends to force the issue before the California state supreme court, then ultimately (probably) the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS). It's a stupid, dangerous law, voted into place by legislators who either don't understand the core issue OR knowingly voted for it because they're assholes.

California is an influential state in the US. Many laws & regulations passed there eventually trickle out to most states. That's why it's worrisome to see this kind of thing rammed through, and why it's important to fight it.

Also, it doesn't matter if you use Linux or not. Or whether you live in California or not. Visit their site, read the text, learn what's going on with access to computing in this hellscape timeline.
