DAYS OF LOCK IN
Still the lock-in continues. No group runs,no races,no gym. We are all suffering. But life goes on ( for most folk anyway) and the same goes for running.Well at least my running.
I still lack the motivation with no races on the horizon. However on most days this week ( missed Monday) I managed to get out early for my morning lung opener run. In the afternoon I ran my main run for the day which was a bit longer and faster. First run of the day involves some decent hills which I am hoping with give me a little more strength.
On Tuesday I did what I loosely term a time trial up the big hill I run each morning.850m. Happy enough although I thought about three quarters of the way thru that I will not be doing this again in a hurry. I try to tell myself a little pain never hurt anyone yet but sometimes I begin to doubt that when my legs start to shake.
Ran with Rob....so much better than me.
Good run today with Tamami.
FIGURES
Weights...68.7kgm.....ok.... can drop weight when I run longer. Maybe eat less.
Blood pressure....very good...today 133/94
Resting Heart Rate...down to 46....ok but I can do better...I would like to think 42 but that’s for future days.
Average Heart during run....usually in 170s although today was 159.
Sleep....7 hours 15 minute average...I am not a great sleeper but am getting to bed at regular hours which is meant to help.
LOCK IN.....I am pretty much house bound. I know this will end eventually but it is still hard. I tell myself self even the Black Death in the 14 th century ended after 8 years so nothing goes on forever.
Except my running of course.
.
Great blog, Jon. I find it hard to believe that somebody who runs twice a day lacks motivation.
