You know, an interesting tumblr transformation that's happened gradually, and which I've seen no one talk about: ask-culture has essentially dropped off to nothing.

it's probably from assholes making asks a minefield of trolling/harassment for years with no real blocking ability, which turned people off from allowing asks on their blogs so as a whole the site moved away from it

My username has no lore lol I just didn't have any idea what I wanted it to be but I love vine and so it just sprung into my mind and 99 is a number close to my heart

when i was but a wee lad i randomly got fixated on certain names (mostly made-up ones) because the specific combination of letters was satisfying. one of these names was azlin/aslin (pronounced either as azz-lynn (like in the word 'jazz') or aze-lynn (like in the word 'maze'), so when i signed up for roblox i wanted my username to be azlin. but azlin was taken so instead i used az1in. a couple years ago i added two extra Zs cuz i thought it was just better. it's also only pronounced azz-lynn now, i don't like the pronunciation aze-lynn anymore

wanted to make an online persona to separate irl me and the mark I leave on the internet. I also loved space and wizards so slowly I've been figuring out starlights lore

Long story actually, it started as CharlotteConMiel (Charlotte with honey in Spanish) and that was my name on YouTube for a long time, then I changed it into JuneWithSugar because honey has sugar in it lmao and I don't like the name Charlotte anymore. But that name was reallyyy long so I shortened it to junesugar (tumblr wouldn't let me use that name, so I added an s)

years ago i came up with a username (that im not going to name because im not sure if i deleted all my old accounts!!) which then morphed into a different one which then continued morphing till one i had to make a name for my tumblr account and came up with verysillything!! at this point im pretty sure i onpy share a single one out the three with my oldest one!!!!

thanks for the mention! samanthuel is just a nicholas name of sam, with it being a combination of samantha and samuel, nothing more to it. And i added universe to the end because i love the universe and it makes it sound like steven universe!

theres no much to mine. i knew i wanted "cat" or "kitty" to be part of it and it was the first thing i could think of that i liked when i was making my tumblr.

someone has actually mentioned this before on one of my posts, but my username is a reference to a line from The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, where the narrator comments "If he be Mr. Hyde, I shall be Mr. Seek." it was intended to be divorced from my other frequent online usernames (which all involved the word "corgi" in some way) and I was absolutely obsessed with Jekyll & Hyde at the time, so I thought it would be a good username. 128 is one of my favorite numbers, but I've been meaning to remove it for a while because it looks a bit silly tacked on at the end.

Okay! So! Alex was my chosen name for a while and Karumi was the name I chose for my now sona! It used to be a fanchild of a shipp I liked when I was younger but I ended up getting really attached to them and never quite ended up letting go of them. So I just assimilated said name into my artist name (which was originally karumiyeah. Do not question my 12 year old self) and then it evolved to what it is today. I actually need to change it because. I do not use Alex anymore as my chosen name LOL

it was a randomly generated reddit username 😔 but ive kind of reclaimed it and left reddit because I really like it. short and snappy and it comes with a first and last name…… and it’s now a reference to Even Flow by Pearl Jam. on other sites ill toss a 15 on for the tsons or 4 cause its my lucky number

when I signed up for tumblr I wanted to create some sort of persona for myself. A character I could use to speak through. At the time I joked around with my IRL friends that I was some sort of goblin. I liked the concept, but felt like it needed something more. So I decided that the elusive goblin lived in the woods and was the proud owner of a rubber duck. Of course I never ended up using the character concept and any reference to it was thrown out of my bio a few months later. Sigh.

Boy, I'm feeling anxious. Time to watch my Comfort Show™ for the millionth time!
