god, people really need to realise heated rivalry is the story of shane hollander as much as it is of ilya rozanov. they're literally the two main protagonists of the show! im so fucking tired of some mainstream media and audience treating shane like an accessory to ilya's story. just because he has had lesser external struggles than ilya does not allow you to discount shane's internal struggles as an autistic, closeted, poc in a bigoted white male dominated sport. and also, this is THEIR love story for fucks sake, you don't get to be team ilya or team shane. ITS TEAM HOLLANOV! (even ilya would tell you the same)
