Frank Langdon is not addicted to Benzos. White Men are overrepresented in statistics about opioid addiction and that is very likely because, as we see with the treatment of the guy who asks for morphine vs the treatment of Joyce, bias against women and people of colour means it is extremely easy for white men to get pain meds and they are often overprescribed to the point of addiction while women and people of colour struggle to have their pain acknowledged.
