I don't support her for everything that she's done, obviously. I think she's a bit annoying whenever I go to her house but it's not a big deal. But I was talking with my friend about her mom, and she had told me that when she [my friend] was a toddler and her mom and dad were still together, her parents would constantly fight over everything in the most extreme ways possible.

My friends mom was an enabler during that time, but she was in contact with a family friend who was supporting her. That family friend told her (verbatim) "Is this the type of example you want to set for your kids?"

It ended up snapping my friends mom out of her 'male centered' trance. She ended up divorcing her now [ex] husband and moving away with my friend into a safer environment.

White supremacists use Ancient Greece to insert themselves and their beliefs, completely erasing an accurate Ancient Greece and actual Greek people and culture from the narrative. There's a reason why when discussing the casting of Helen in Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, they only show pictures of blonde, blue-eyed, Germanic, or Anglo-Saxon women, and never actresses who are actually Greek or of Greek descent. Just like how a black woman playing Helen is an issue to them, a Greek woman playing Helen is also an issue to them.

Since the very beginning of the concept of whiteness, beginning in the 19th century, white supremacists have excluded Greek people from whiteness, like they did for other ethnicities that you may now consider white, such as the Irish and Italians. Whiteness did not exist before the 19th century. When whiteness was conceptualized, it was purposefully created to not just view people native to the Americas, Africa, Asia, and Oceania as lesser than, but to also view other Europeans as lesser than.

like. i've been a bigger and taller girl all my life (average height now) and i feel this way. unfeminine, undesirable, like there's nothing good about my body. i hate looking at it, i hate living in it, i hate waking up and looking down at it. i have pretty friends who are smaller and way more feminine. sure, i get jealous, but i've never wanted to fucking HURT THEM??? i've never relished in the thought of STEALING or VIOLATING THEIR BODY?? it's not their fault i'm insecure about my own body, they even tell me i'm beautiful when i know they're likely just saying that to make me feel better. that's really kind of them, what the fuck would hurting them do for me? it's really weird to take your jealousy this far.

like insecurity is no excuse for this type of fantasy or behavior, it just fucking isn't. get a goddamn grip over yourself and stop making it that poor woman's issue that you fetishize her existence and obsess over every feature she has. you have no idea what it's like to be her or to live in her body, so get the hell over it.

So is shit, but almost every comedian has made poop jokes and almost every home has toilet paper out in the open. So is semen, but it’s normalised to watch porn. So is piss, but you don’t have a fit when you see yellow snow. So is snot, but if somebody tells you she has to blow her nose you don’t take offence. So is spit, but men think it’s fine to spit on the ground or on women.
