I don't agree with her on everything, I'm not even a fan, but I can definitely tell when the hate is not only unfounded but exaggerated. No man gets as much hate as Rowling does for DISAGREING WITH TRANS IDEOLOGY. Moreover, I don't consider her a radical feminist (I think she is either, she just ironically calls herself a "terf").
I've criticized some of her actions, even back when she spoke out against calling women "menstruating people." Did you know that's where it all started? That she, a woman, didn't like them calling women menstruating people?
That's why I particularly dislike the fact that your husband (a man, I assume, especially) compared her to a Nazi, a dictator, a misogynist, a homophobe. Her. Him. Do you realize the scale here is completely incomparable?
She, who helps women, is NORMAL about trans people, but understands that trans ideology (which stems from gender ideology) is harmful to people, that men will and do exploit the fact that they can identify as women or non-binary and try to enter women's spaces.
"I respect every trans person's right to live in any way that feels authentic and comfortable to them. I'd march with you if you were discriminated against on the basis of being trans."
My God, she even said she understands trans people, because people with real gender dysphoria (or sexual dysmorphia) genuinely suffer from rejection of their social status and physical appearance JUST like women. But that doesn't mean we should now infringe on women's rights because some men may genuinely think, based on their sexuality or love of dresses, makeup, and other objects and hobbies, that they consider feminine. If you take away a woman's definition of the word "woman," which doesn't denote "soul," "feeling," or "femininity," but a biological fact, then you're taking away her rights.
Again, is all this really and you want to compare her to Hitler? Hitler?
Let's even compare the start of World War II, because that's probably Hitler's most famous act. It's stupid, but let's do it. Hitler justified his invasion of Poland by claiming that there were German cities in Poland, that German people were suffering, and he also faked the operation to make it seem like Poland had struck first. It's all a lie, but the purpose of this lie is clear: to gain new territory and justify their actions with this lie in order to achieve their goal. He mostly didn't even care whether there would be casualties among "their people" or not. With his orders, he literally killed people, innocent people, people of the "pure race" he promised to protect, killed those minorities he said in his speech that they would not suffer.
It's incredibly stupid, but just try to imagine what Rowling did. Try to imagine her goals and remember what she did. First of all, she just tweets and replies to reposts. Secondly, she funds foundations THAT HELP WOMEN (LIKE HELP-HELP WOMEN). The most you can accuse her of is not wanting trans women to attend female-only places and events. And that's understandable because if men can simply thump their chests and say,"I'm a woman, I have to be there now" then why wouldn't they? And no one's stopping them from creating their own places (like, for example, women did, oh my god) or going to places that match their sex (does anyone else remember that word? A biological fact you can't change?)
…. where the hell colonialism come from? I assume we're talking about Imane Khelif, who was simply found to have the SRY gene, he had testicles and naturally produced testosterone, which he lowered in order to participate in competitions. Try spiking your husband's tea or coffee with estrogen and you'll get a woman as Imane Khelif
Anyway all these accusations don't come out of nowhere, but because men are willing and able to take advantage of this. They can be worthless in the men's category but get into the women's category, and voila. Not only are you a cool female athlete, and are you loved because you're "queer," but you've also achieved something.
And again, comparing her to Hitler, calling her a Nazi is so out of touch with history and reality that you're simply belittling the real victims. You're comparing holocaust victims, warriors, with men who might go to a different restroom.
