Before the season started there was a lot of talk about how beautiful and romantic it would be to see Louis through Lestat's eyes. Especially remembering that it's kind of striking how most of the season Lestat's perspective of Louis is so lacking of warmth, romance, even basic respect for him as a person. Lestat doesn't often sound just angry but downright disdainful, even in his subconscious. Louis' narration in s1 and s2 was so full of love for Lestat even after everything Lestat did to him and Claudia, while Louis hasn't even done anything to deserve such loathing.
