hey all, just thought iâd make a formal post that iâm gonna take a short summer hiatus from this blog, in case anyone tries to reach me or something. nothingâs wrong, all is well, just need to water other parts of my life for a bit.
i hope you have a wonderful summer, see you soon!
can you believe Tommy (left) used to be the most aggressive feral cat for miles around and Rorschach (right) was a sickly wormy little feral baby and now theyâve gone from being all alone in the world to being THIS đ
back from a night out and I took my usual stickering route home to check on what got scratched off -- come to find someone else has wheatpasted a gender abolitionist feminist poster to a lamppost and tied some suffragette flag ribbons to a nearby fence. Knowing another local feminist has seen my stickers and known she's not alone makes me glad I continued doing this for as long as I have. :)
update on this: the original poster was torn down (of course) but two more posters have gone up, a great quote from helen joyce and another with a graphic of princess leia. the joyce quote was sort of feebly scribbled on but still completely legible, and someone wrote the usual trans rights are human rights mantra on it. Looking forward to seeing more from my neighbour. It would be nice if I could somehow meet her, although it's quite possible I already have!
why is half of youtube filled with 47 minute long videos that look like this

rare instagram win, but i recently came across a reel where a woman made a joke about hating men and some transwoman came and said something like "we should leave misandry in 2023" and the comments were FULL of women and girls just dragging the guy being like "misandry is not equal to misogyny" and basically saying he couldn't tell them how to feel about the oppression they faced from men and dude tried the "i am a woman, trust me, i know about misogyny" and they were like "not more than us and also shut up"
nature is healing. just a little bit
you can fool some of the ladies some of the time but eventually they can hear the rest of us being extremely loud about it all from inside their bunker
I think about this so often
good morning women. everyone else die
letby looking up the families of deceased children being a piece of evidence is startling considering that she's a habitual googler and looked up over 2,500 people in a few years alone, of which the family members amounted to 31 people (sidenote: terrifying that this information can be dragged up before court). i've looked up almost everyone i've ever interacted with. when i was dealing with the hospital, i looked up the socials of every nurse and every doctor, and i looked up the socials of the principals and fellow teachers of the school i worked at
I know I pray I am never accused of a serious crime, because people have literally no baseline for what constitutes âbehavior indicative of guilt.â They will say someone is guilty if they are too calm, if they are too upset, if they protest their innocence, if they say nothing, if they speak to the media, if they donât speak to the media, etc, etc. Nobody on this Earth knows how they would react in a situation like that, or what is ânormalâ for another person to do in a situation like that, bc it is by definition an extremely abnormal situation.

just so you know, if you have to give a woman cash to get her to have sex with you, she does not want to have sex with you.
i cant help but notice that the chocolate chips cookies you brought to the potluck yesterday had bad vibes. so i went through your cabinets while you were sleeping and checked out the chocolate chips you used. i mean they looked innocent on the surface, they were even fair trade certified. but i just couldn't shake that itching sense that sometning was off. i infiltrated the chocolate company's headquarters by posing as IT support. and you know what I found? the guy who designed the labels got a dui in 2007. so it turns out my instincts were right and you're a terrible person.
Ok but every time I hear the âwho uses typewriters anywayâ line in TTPD, I immediately think of thisâŚ
Ok hold on, now Iâm obsessed with the idea of a digital typewriter where you have the keyboard of a typewriter, where its only ability to connect to an iPad or phone or laptop is by Bluetooth to save what youâre typing, but still doesnât let you access the internet to scroll.
All the âdigital typewritersâ Iâm seeing still get connected to a phone or iPad. No!
I want a screen whose only purpose is to show me what Iâm writing and then automatically upload it as a word document to the computer of my choice!
Not this!
Writers deserve to have their own version of court reporter keyboards that digitally save everything they type and you can view your words on a screen, but with a QWERTY keyboard.
If George RR Martin had one of these bad boys, I think his Song Of Ice and Fire series would have been finished a decade ago.
I'm in friend groups with trans women and I can't help but notice that my opinions get dismissed a lot compared to them.
The other day I was pointing out misogyny from a gay dude in a group and a trans woman agreed with me. He listened to her not me, she got an apology and I didn't. We said literally the same things.
I'm losing my mind. I can't talk about misogyny because I'm worried I'll get called a TERF. I honestly don't care about what people want to identity as and I'll be happy to oblige but I hate how I can't talk about how we have different needs. Like sure trans people perceived as their gender are in the same group as me, but they face specific fetishization or discrimination that they can talk about and have a word for but if I want to talk my issues being a cis woman I can't. I have to put 200 disclaimers to say I'm not a Bad Person.
Like it genuinely pisses me off so bad when issues get diluted out of misogyny. Like people refusing to say the abortion bans affect primarily women and are women's issues. Non progressive circles ignore me because they hate women and progressive circles don't care about misogyny unless it's towards trans women. I'm ignored everywhere.
This is why it's both hilarious and hair-tearingly frustrating when men who identify as women claim that everyone (especially women) are nicer to them when they are "seen as" women. Really it's that people see men who want others to treat them like women, and treat them not as women, but as a special class of men whose desire to control the way they are perceived is of dire importance. So important that they will threaten dissenters with violence and social ostracization. Have you ever seen any misogynistic man threatened by women with violence for insulting and dehumanizing women? And then how many women are threatened with assault, the loss of her livelihood, even murder for simply asserting that male and female people have different experiences and needs for social services? for refusing to capitulate to the assertion that someone born male can become a woman? for acknowledging a worldwide history of institutional sex-based injustice and subjugation? It isn't that the majority of people actually perceive transwomen as women; they are afraid of what the consequences will be if they don't bend to the fiction about a subcategory of men who are upheld as divinely infallible (and somehow, the epitome of womanhood). And as usual, male opinions, desires, feelings are prioritized over the dignity and class consciousness of female people.
Speaking of consequences, unfortunately, the current state of things means that talking unabashedly about misogyny, even non-trans-related misogyny, makes you a target for "terf" accusations. That's why it's so important that as many women as possible speak up about it. The animosity that feminists endure for talking about misogyny, the oppression and subjugation that women, female people, endure, is not new. "Terf" is just a new iteration of witch, bitch, feminazi. The same old venom. Women have been villainized for fighting back against misogyny throughout history, and even under a veneer of progressivism, male supremacy remains the same. You should not be made to feel like you are a bad person for pointing out obvious inequality. And you don't have to just take it. More and more women are realizing what a sham it all is, you aren't alone. It's hard to stand up for what's right when it's unpopular to do so, but it's very very necessary.
Be well, anon.
The absolute fucking agony and misery of trying to find posts about feminism that have any teeth and deal with reproductive health and the ways that the (in)ability to bear children has shaped the history of women is like walking through a trying to walk through a beautiful garden but the ground is covered in rakes, and the rakes absolutely HATE trans people.
the answer to why youâre having difficulty locating any feminist rhetoric that isnât radical (which you deem to be trans-hating) is actually in your own post: misogyny is a form of sex-based oppression that targets women for our physical difference. however, acknowledging the reality of sex-based oppression has been framed as transphobic by liberal feminists, whose analysis relies not on class but on individual choice, and by queer activists who see biological sex as a construct. these beliefs are fundamentally incompatible with radical/anti-patriarchal feminism, which understands misogyny as the oppression of female people based on various culturally stigmatized aspects of our sex-based differences from men, most notably our ability to bear children and menstruate.
i mean ⌠i donât know how to tell you this, but if youâre having these thoughts and noticing these patterns, youâre already a radical feminist, op. and thatâs completely fine, because radical feminism isnât a fringe hate group, it is a diverse and well-established ideology. radical feminism has been maligned in recent years, during this latest anti-feminist backlash, because our movement produces one of the only discourses which still interrogate the patriarchy systemically and center women as a class. some of us, like me, are partnered to trans people, and most of us, also like me, are non-white women. radical feminism is the feminism of the global south, it is the feminism of lesbians, it is the feminism of women with gender dysphoria, it is the feminism of csa and rape survivors, not because we hate trans people (?) but because radical feminism is the only ideology that acknowledges the material reality of misogyny. and that makes it a threat to other, competing ideologies which refuse to de-center men and destabilize patriarchy.

hello! this is Lua, a puppy I rescued last Wednesday! She seemed fine and happy when I took her home, but by Friday she was vomiting a lot and having bloodied diarrhea. she was diagnosed with parvovirus, a grave decease for dogs of any age.
I took her to the vet and she's currently being taken care of, but the vet bills are too expensive and i'm afraid I won't be able to afford to pay.
if you feel it in your heart that you can help us, even with $5, it would be incredible and i'd be eternally grateful. i'm Brazilian, so any quantity in dollars or euros will convert to more money than you donated!!

she's eating by herself again! the vet said she could be coming home soon
