Thought I had depression now but turns out I just needed some vitamin d.

No I’m actually being serious I hadn’t gone outside in forever and I found out that depression is a possible symptom of a vitamin d deficiency and before corona I used to go outside all the time and never had depression just anxiety and then this week I started going outside again for like ten minutes a day and I feel so much better.

That’s actually why some people get seasonal affective disorder. The less daylight in the winter months, the less vitamin D they can get. Thus they get seasonal depression - and find things get better when they take vitamin D supplements during such time.

Yeah like vitamin d deficiencies are extremely common. Chances are, unless you’re a kid who plays outside all day, you have some sort of vitamin d deficiency. It can do really fucky things to your brain, and if you get covid, your symptoms may be a lot worse if you have a vitamin d deficiency (i almost died). Take your supplements.

2 things are very important when it comes to reducing risk or severity when it comes to Covid-19.  They are Zinc, and Vitamin D.  All the better if you can get some Quercetin into your system as well, in the form of food or supplements, or best-case, both.  Quercetin is a Zinc ionophore.  It’s a fancy name for, “Thing that gets Zinc inside your cells to do its job”.  Just a heads-up on this stuff, and the more you can de-stress, and get outside and/or into nature, the better - to ward off Covid, but also, just in general. :)
