Who Are We:

TWO people are working on this fanfiction. Lyla Joy, or Lyla for short, and MyloveisDahl1a, or Dahlia. (Our blogs are linked in our names.) We both work on the fic in our own little domains, Lyla with writing and Dahlia with all the cool behind-the-scenes stuff with K-pop. (Our pronouns are she/her btw).

How This Fic Came To Be

Basically, Lyla is low-key into the Genshin fandom and has wanted to write for them for a while, and the Genshin idol AU has always been fascinating. However, she never really liked some of the Idol Group names given to the main ones (6REEZE lowkey eats, but the rest is trash, I'm sorry). So instead, she wanted to make her OWN name with her OWN story for these fascinating characters and give more depth to this au with her own little twist.

Dahlia was brought in right after that thought. Lyla isn't well versed in the K-pop idol scene but wanted to do it right (kind of, sort of, close enough to it, at least). And she wanted to do something BIG, and Dahlia was on board (with a bit of persuasion). Dahlia is a K-pop fan, and with her knowledge and ideas, this wonderful fic came to be.

What is This Fanfic? And where to find

This fic is turning our favorite anemo boys into a big group with a different name, Enigma! The reason for the name is one, because Lyla wanted to be different (lol), and two...well, you'll just have to read and stick around to find out ;). But in all seriousness, it's just to take a deep dive into this little AU and expand it with some K-pop influence (since it is an extremely popular music genre worldwide.)

This fic is currently posted ONLY on Ao3 under the same title, Our Journey Ahead. The story is also linked in the title, just to make it even easier. Of course, chapter updates will also be posted on here and Lyla's main blog.

Hihi! As a multi-stan (meaning a ‘stan’ or fan of many different kpop groups) I multi-stanned and I’ve recently gotten into the group P1Harmony! They’re a six-member boy group who debuted in 2020, and at the time of writing this (however long ago that was) they recently came out with their newest mini-album ‘DUH!’ with the title track also being called ‘DUH!’. To celebrate and hopefully allow for some of you to start listening to the group, I’m going to share some of my favorite songs from this mini!

Firstly, we have the title track DUH! (Mv)

This style isnt necessarily seen as much in the later generations of kpop in favor of the hybrid pop or more noisy electronic sounds, but this is such as interesting listen, and the lyrics are really fun to analyze!

Next we have 'Pretty Boy'! (Stage perf, no mv yet :( )

This is definitely one of my favorite songs from this comeback! And this time, I’ve linked a stage performance so you can watch what this song looks like performed!

To make this korner not crazy long like the others, I’ll only share two more of the songs on this mini-album, which happen to be my top favorite, which are ‘Murmur’ and ‘Work’! The coolest thing about ‘Work’ is that it was actually written and composed by the groups’ youngest member!

Even if a few of these songs end up not being your favorites, you should still check out both this group and their latest comeback! And for any fellow P1ece reading this, my biases are the ‘05 line!

Xiao still did not look impressed by that answer. “You should have called.”

Venti blinked a little before looking at him with a grin. “Were you worried, Xiao?” he asks, crossing his legs as he lays his arm on the back of the chair.

Xiao wrinkled his nose as he looked off to the side. “I never claimed such an emotion.”

Hihi! Hope you guys didn’t miss me too much! >:3 As Lyla was writing this I just finished watching this year’s ‘SBS Gayo Daejeon’ award show, and I was blown away by all the talented groups who performed!! 

So, I decided that this corner I’ll reccomend a few songs from some of the groups who performed! :3

To start us off we have…. After Like by IVE!

This song is just so pretty and timeless! I’m only a casual listener of this group, but my bias line is Liz and Rei! :3

Next, we have… Supernova by Aespa! 

This is one of their newer releases, but we got the chance to see the iconic looks of blonde Winter and Ningning’s red ponytail!!

And last but not least we have… In Bloom by Zerobaseone! 

It’s crazy to think that this song is over a year old as of writing this! This is another group that I’m only a casual listener of, as I never watched the survival show that formed the group! But their music is so bright and fun! :3

Summary:

Aether’s wide eyes quickly connected to ones similar to his own, causing him to deadpan. Rolling his eyes, he turned back around to shove another book in his locker as he said, “Really, Lumine? Are you trying to give me a heart attack?”

Lumine, his twin and self-proclaimed best friend, moved to lean against the locker on the other side with a grin. “Maybe. You’re just so easy to scare. You haven’t changed.”

“Neither have you,” grumbled Aether as he grabbed his lunch and placed it in the bag before closing his locker. He turned around and started walking as Lumine caught up to fall in step next to him. “What are you even doing here? I thought you had filming for that new drama?”

Lumine nodded. “I did, but the energy just isn’t the same without you.” She said, bumping her shoulder against his, causing him to smile.

I’m back with a few new song reccs from my personal playlist, so I hope you’re excited, as this corner will be a little longer than last time! :3

First, we have Run For Roses by NMIXX!

While this wasn’t their title track for the “Fe304: BREAK” EP, I find that this song always gets stuck in my head, and I hope that doesn’t happen to you once you listen to it! If any of our readers also like this group, my bias is Sullyoon!

Next, we have… UhUh by RESCENE!

This group is a lot newer, but I can’t get over their sound! If you’d like another recc from them, I also find myself listening to “Pinball” from their most recent mini album “SCENEDROME”!

Finally, my last recc is… Inception by ATEEZ!

If you have a chance to watch the MV, which should be linked, please please do! This song and MV are pretty, and the high notes from Jongho just make it that much better!

I'm not as into the group as other MOAs, but if I had to choose a bias it would probably be Soobin!

If you like this song and want some more reccs, I've recently been listening to Deja Vu from their newest album, along with Blue Hour, from one of their earlier EPs also titled "Blue Hour".

Aether walked past the rapper, who didn’t even look up from his phone from the kitchen with a bowl of popcorn and sat down next to Kazuha, who was lying on the floor, eyes closed, arms behind his head, and right leg crossed over the left. He placed the bowl on the brown coffee table and asked, “So, which movie are we watching tonight?”

Heizou sat up from where he was lying on the loveseat and propped himself on his elbow. “How about Sherlock?” he suggested with a grin.

Scara looked up from his phone to give the dancer a look. “Absolutely not.”

Heizou’s mouth dropped open in shock. “What? Why?! Sherlock is a cinematic masterpiece!”

“All you want to watch is detective and mystery bullshit. Sherlock this and NCIS that. It is honestly getting redundant and annoying,” replied Scara factually as he turned his attention back to his phone. 

“I have to agree, Heizou. After watching the entire Elementary show, I think the appeal of Sherlock ran its course,” replied Aether, not really apologetically, but he tried. 

Heizou groaned as he flopped down on the couch. “Well, I have nothing else to offer.”

“How about a Disney Movie?” offered Aether.

Xiao raised an eyebrow. “There are about over 300 Disney films, not including the franchises it owns. Which one do you suggest?”

Venti blinked lightly, furrowing his eyebrow as he tuned into the conversation. “Why do you know how many Disney movies there are?” he asked, slurring lightly. 

“I said about,” countered Xiao, slightly turning his head to look at the drunk singer, who hummed and nodded wildly.

Venti lifted his cup and said, “Well, I second the notion of a Disney movie!”

Heizou sighed and said, “It’s not Sherlock, but I guess a Disney film wouldn’t hurt.”

Aether grinned and looked over at Scara, who shrugged in agreement. Aether let out a tiny whoop, the others hiding smiles at his youthful behavior as he went over to grab the remote, turned on the Smart TV, and scrolled to Disney+. The blonde scrolled through the app for a bit before selecting Ratatouille.

At the sound of the opening credits, Kazuha opened one of his eyes and questioned, “Is this Ratatouille?”

Scara raised an eyebrow as he peered over the edge of his phone to look at him. “You figured that out based on the opening credits?”

Kazuha hummed as he closed his eyes. “Of course. Each Disney film starts slightly differently from the rest. It’s about the frequency in the wind.”

Scara deadpanned. “We’re inside.”

“A/C then,” responded Kazuha with no hesitation. 

Scara narrowed his eyes.

To try and keep this blog active (besides the re-blogging and stuff that Lyla loves to do), we’ll always be posting snippets and stuff from past chapters and upcoming chapters here as well!

Lyla has a lot of favorite parts she has written so that will be a section on it’s on as well besides showing the writing process and drafts.

We will also be bringing our very own Dahlia’s Korner to Tumblr! If you don’t know what that is (because you’re just randomly seeing this post), it’s basically where Dahila gives us her very own recommendation of K-pop songs that she likes in her personal playlists or even songs dedicated to the fic! They can also be found in the author's note at the bottom of the fic.

As the fic continues we will keep trying to come up with ways to keep everything engaging and fun for you guys! As well as try to draw more people in lol.

Aether looked at the comments and read out loud, “‘What song would you use to describe your life?’ Definitely “I Know It’s Today” from Shrek The Musical.”

Heizou died. “What the fuck,” he choked out from his laughter.

“You give me more so “Girl Scout” from Beetlejuice,” said Scara.

Aether paused. “I don’t know if that was an insult, but I’m going to take it as one.” Scara shrugged in return.
