Hello all! So thrilled to already have some orders coming through after opening the shop back up again; and I feel the need to express my enthusiasm for the shop and perfuming in some way (I have excitable energy that needs expelling) so, here are some of my favourites from each of our scent lines and why!
🥊Vander - I just adore the woody sweetness of our Vander-inspired fragrance; it feels like tree sap mixed with heady smoke and a sort of cloying sweetness that's almost like the scent of sweet whiskey having sunken into the surfaces of an old bar, but in a nice way. More masculine-leaning, but it's so delicious that anyone could wear it and feel confident, I think.
✨Mel Medarda - so regal, focused on a sort of sweet-spiciness. I'm always a sucker for amber, as a scent note, so I knew I'd like this one as a personal fragrance, and the nutmeg gives it such a yummy punch.
🌖Xavier - honestly, one of the lesser purchased of our fragrances, and I'm sure it's purely by chance because this one is tied for me with our favourite colonel in terms of my fav of our LADS-inspired fragrances. It's so woody and citrusy, it literally feels like the bliss of waking up in the warm embrace of morning sunlight. It's so cozy; one of my favs, even across all our products, even!
🍎Caleb - I confess, this one's a little biased (as a Rafayel + Caleb centric player), but I couldn't not include this one. The cedarwood and oakmoss feel very safe and kind of all-consuming, like how it might feel to receive a hug from Caleb, while the apple brings a sweetness that's just essential for him. It's the sort of smell that fuzzes up your brain in the best way.
Okay, I know I've picked three (and that's half of our whole DAI collection thus far, but I couldn't choose just one or two!) Forgive me.
🐺Solas - Okay, I admit, I'm mainly including Solas and Sera here just because of how chuffed I was with the accuracy of the fragrances. Solas's had to reflect that sort of ethereal, world-wise feeling he has, and the bay leaf and blackberry really evokes that. I had an image in my head of him walking past, someone catching a whiff on the air of something that smelled slightly fresh, mysterious, and otherworldly, and wanting to chase after it - only for it to dissipate into nothingness and make them yearn to smell it again - and his fragrance is exactly that.
🐝Sera - it's the beeswax and ginger that really pull through, here. I was a little anxious in adding a note that can be as strong as ginger, but I feel like it's just what Sera needs! She's a little spicy, a little unpredictable; and I couldn't help including a reference to her jar of bees recipe.
🛡️Cullen - likely my personal fav of our whole DAI line. It's musky, but with a certain aromatic sweetness to it that lingers. It feels refined, but also slightly rough and grounded, while having a clear throughline that reminds me of the cutscene where he takes the Inquisitor to the lake. It just feels so much like him.
Picking one because I can't pick all of them :(
❤️🩹Daughter of The Mummy - honey and myrrh? It's just so regal, and really does invoke thoughts of the refined regality of Egyptian royalty, along with the dryness of an arid climate.
Again, do I really have to pick one?? ... No, because this is my post, but I'll keep each one to a single sentence!
🫎Sam Winchester - cozy lore research with coffee from the local diner, so comforting.
🥧Dean Winchester - working on tuning up Baby after a long hunt, accompanied by a slice of pie; dark, leathery, aromatic, and so tender.
🪽Castiel - pale, mysterious, otherworldly, faintly floral; really does smell like an angel just down from Heaven.
And to anyone who read this far, thank you! This was mainly made on a whim, with some time to spare, so many thanks for indulging me. <3
