Basically, I had to make my own internal character ranking upon first viewing. It would be interesting to compare it with what I feel about them now.

I won't talk about Mickey and Ian, I only talk about them here. I'll just note that Mickey wasn't number one in my personal top haha But Debbie rose from the very bottom of the list to the top! And Tami too, although she and Lip are pretty boring (in fact, Tami and I are too similar). I started to like Sandy, quite a lot. Сarl has given up his position, and that's sad. I still love Fiona very much. The attitude towards Frank fluctuates from episode to episode, and that's how it should be.

In this series, acting matters more than in any other. There are so many truly good actors. Those who aren't as good at acting are noticeably weaker in comparison. And this is even more noticeable upon rewatching. This also influences the order of characters in my personal top list.

Terry sometimes had dogs. Remember when Ian comes to Terry for advice about prison, the dog barks outside the door and Terry yells at it? So dogs are nothing new in the Milkovich household. For the Milkoviches, a dog is simply a tool that must fulfill its purpose: to guard, intimidate, and bite on command. It is not a pet.

But everything can change. For example, one of Mickey and Ian's clients was a pit bull breeder. The dogs ran calmly around the property and happily greeted everyone their owner let in. Mickey was pretty scared at first, he tried to wave his arms less and quietly cursed under his breath. But when they licked his hand again and shoved a tattered plush toy at him, he thawed out a bit. And when, on the next visit, a whole litter of puppies poured out of the house, Mickey squatted down and played with them.
