angel is incredibly lazy and its played off as a joke at first but its a result of him having all his autonomy stripped from him and being severely depressed he cannot live a life free of violence and suffering which is all hes ever wanted. which humans have which is why he hates them. he also tries to pretend to be selfish and is secretly incredibly selfless as a person to the point of self sacrificing for people he cares about. he does this to keep people at an arms length also thats literal because he cannot touch people without Killing Them like it drains their life force

aki is extremely hard working to the point of breaking himself because he has a mission (spoiler redacted) but also because hes terrified of his loved ones dying and not being able to protect them. he is extremely self sacrificng to the point where he routinely puts his life in danger despite trying to seem like a hardass that doesnt care about anything but his goals and hunting devils but this is because hes so scared of losing people he tries to push them all away except his narure is deeply loving to the point where he cannot help taking care of people he claims hes indifferent towards or hates
