2003 Mikey Good Genes Fanfic Preview
So one story WIP I have is a “What if it was Mikey thst got double mutated” but before I can even do that, we hafta go back to the dinosaurs and deal with Savanti Romero.
But now it's Mikey that's sick.
“Dead? What do you mean it’s dead?”
Renet twirled the Time Scepter about. “Duh. Just what I said! No juice! It’s dead.”
Raph threw up his hands. “We finally find the fucking thing and it’s useless?!”
Donnie pinched the bridge of his snout. “Renet…is there anything we can do to recharge it?”
“Yeah, what batteries does it take?” Mikey spoke up, lying against Leo’s shoulder. His head weighed a thousand pounds but if he could help..
“It doesn’t take batteries, Mikey.” Leo gently rubbed his sibling’s shoulder. But then considered and asked “What does charge it Renet?”
“Like, the blood of Chronos, duh?”
“…right.” Raph heaved a sigh. “And that’s it?”
“Well, Lord Simultaneous sometimes said to catch EGS when I can because it gives it new life. Or something like that.”
Raph snorted, “You're a terrible student! Do you listen at all?!”
“Egs.” Leo frowned “Events of great significance right?”
Renet nodded, eyes downtrodden.
Donnie sat and his brothers and Renet followed. “So, what exactly is an EGS?”
“Oh! It’s kinda hard to explain but it’s anything that’s either supposed to happen or supposed to not happen.”
Raph growled. “Well, that fucking narrows it down.”
“I guess when sometime super important happens in a timeline, it’s like…stored Chronos blood or something.”
Donnie frowned “so, it would be like a jumper for a car.”
“Right! And like, the bigger the EG, the stronger the charge.”
Leo laid his head against their makeshift shelter. “Great…”
“Got any spare EGS lying around, Leo?” Raph poked at their fire.
Donnie gave a low yelp when something yanked on his bandana. “Ow, who…oh, what is it, Mikey?”
The group went silent and turned their attention to the youngest of their group.
Pointing at the sky, Mikey’s finger settled on one star—significant brighter and…faster than the others—“…would that do it?”
Leo eyed his brothers. “Donnie?”
The genius studied the sky, took the star into account then said. “The asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs…if there was ever an EG, that would be it.”
“Why do I sense a but?” Raph tapped his knee.
“The significance was when it hit.” Donnie said simply. “We have to wait until it hits.”
A blink then two. Raph pulled Mikey into his shoulder. “Crud.”
