Not the graphic novel thing but oh my stars, Artemis II.
Literally watching the whole Artemis II mission is a dream come true and I cannot put into words the emotions I have felt this whole mission. This mission touched my soul, the very core of my being. From as long as I can remember, I have loved space. Always looked up and seen the stories told. Knew far too much at a young age about space, more than my teachers (shout-out the Oort Cloud). Watched every mission launch, the good, and the tragic. And for the past week, I've gotten to feel what it was like to see something this monumental, I got to HEAR the astronauts, experience the naming of the newly discovered craters, cry along with everyone, and see a YouTube live chat full of the WORLD watching and waiting with baited breath no matter what time it was for them. It was a beautiful 10 days of unity and humanity and I cannot express how much it has resparked my inner child and made me wave at the sky knowing that there were people who were saying hello back.
And now that they're home safe I can finally breathe and know that it was a successful mission and we all got to see it and experience it TOGETHER. Together, in such a horrid time in history, for the first time in my recollection, the hearts of the world all beat as one hoping that this mission went well. And it did. <3
