I’m Tired Like Somnus

I don't think Tank should turn into a vampire. Alright! Idk how controversial this is but I have feelings, and I need to let it out. I know this whole storyline has been kind of put on the back burner because were focusing on other things along with Tank having to think it over and I understand that I'm just saying my two cents on the situation. Tanks choice does not need to be answered now. If anything, I'm alright with waiting.

Alright! So, Milo's whole moment of not being able to Shift is one of my biggest arguments for why, and maybe I shouldn't compare how Milo feels compared to how Tank might feel but I see it as more of a situation of how Shifter are connected to their wolf form or whatever animal they can shift into. The absolute emotional wreck Milo is at not being able to shift anymore is, heartbreaking to say the least. The moments of tears really move me and makes me question a lot. He talks about how much he doesn't want to lose his magic with that being a part of him so intimately. Even if he thinks it would be for the greater good due to saving all those people. Like don't get me wrong elemental's or electro's not being able to use their magic anymore is heartbreaking (we have Lovely and Sam to talk about that) but for shifters their form is their full core. It's there everything and also taking into consideration that at least elementals can still kind of use their powers after they are turned...shifter can't. They can never shift again. Just like Milo was feeling.

Along with Milo saying that after a good couple of months of not being able to shift he forgets what it feels like to do it. How does that feel for a Vampire past shifter? With the isolation that would come with in the Shaw Pack. Like I know they wouldn't do it purposely it's very clear the Pack would've tried their best to include Milo or Tank still in Pack affairs even if they weren't shifters anymore. But there's no getting around it. They wouldn't be able to bond in the same way. No more Pack runs for them and just based on my own vibe of Tank I don't think that would bring them much joy especially since they were already isolated from the Pack which is why they went to Quinn in the first place...I can't be having them go through that again. I feel like it would ruin all that hard work they put in to being able to be a part of the Pack again after basically leaving it for a while.

Next, Theo. He is another shifter, falcon shifter, who has to debate if he wants to be turned or not. And it's very clear he's leaning towards no. Because he loves being a shifter. Flying through the air being a flacon just gives him a purpose. A place to be. He doesn't want to lose that part of himself. I don't think Tank wants to either...that's just me though. Theo is really a good case on this he may not be a wolf shifter but he's still a shifter nonetheless who has high stakes if he chooses no or not more than Tank in personal opinion and him leaning towards no and having the chance of being disowned by his only family, kind of shows that being able to shift as shifter means a lot. Like it's kinda of a big deal.

We also have Fooliverse Milo, who I know is not cannon but he's still a good example because...he's a vampire who was a wolf shifter. Which hurts me in ways I can't describe. And even though this Milo doesn't talk about it a lot because he's got that Vampire mystery to him it's clear this affects him greatly. His pack was not something he could be a part of anymore (if I'm remembering that right) and the sound of his voice when he talks about it...geez.

So, I think I've said all I can about how much being a shifter means to shifters. Let's talk about another reason...Sam doesn't want to live forever anyway. He's talked about this when Tank and him were questioning if they wanted to be turned, he never wanted to live forever. That one day he would walk into the sun and just...let himself go. Which is depressing in of itself. But also, kind of negates the whole point of Tank turning in the first place. Like Alexis reasoning with the whole age thing I guess is a valid concern but that's the only one I got. Like one of the reasons people turn if their partner is already a vampire is to live forever together. I don't think Sam wants that. Like personally I think when Tank dies if they stay a shifter, I think Sam decides he's ready to go. Which again is so sad but feels like what he was implying.

So, with the whole age thing, again concern yes, but also...that's like Alexis's whim. Like it kind of proves to her that she got to Tank and I don't she deserves that validation. I think it's actually a good way of foiling Sam and Alexis because, with Alexis even if Sam wasn't in that crash or he got the chance to save himself she would most likely still try to turn him eventually because she doesn't think she can live her life with a human Sam and still love him after he turns old and grey which is one of the reasons why she turned him, so they could be together. But I think Tank staying as a Shifter is more proof that Alexis was wrong. That you can live your life with a vampire as a human and still be happy and be fulfilled even when one of you turns old and grey and other doesn't. Also, I think it's time for Tank to be called the unc. Free Sam of that.

Now here is my bias opinion without any lore proof to go with it. I just don't what it. I know it's Tank choice as a character at the end of the day even though I just talked about why I think it's a bad choice. I really just don't want it. I feel like having a shifter listener is very unique. Especially with already having a Vampire listener now, I don't need another one. It's rare to have empowered listeners at all, much a shifter one. And the isolation that comes with being a vampire is not fun. So maybe this last bit is a little selfish, but truly...I just don't want it.

Also! Sam would be Tank's maker...and since Aleixs can't invoke Sam (that's for the best) they won't be able to get rid of that power dynamic that Lovely and Viincent were able to get over. So please no! I'm begging you Erik! Please...

Gabe dying due to a car accident, Sunshine dying because of a car accident, and Sam dying because of a car accident. They all seem to die too…like two of them came back but dang.

I would've included Anton and Love but idk them enough to do them justice so, maybe another time! Also, I'm inconstant with placement of these some of them I know some I don't.

David: I think if David is to get a tattoo it has to be significant. Like he only has mostly words or initial tattoos. No pictures expect for one. So, I think he definitely has a tattoo that is 'G' on his pulse. He got it after Gabe died. Then he also has an Angel tattoo like on his collarbone that just says Angel, I think he got it after they became mates and David got a little better mentally or after the wedding. Whichever you think. I think David has a tattoo to represent all his pack members in like all there initials somewhere on him. As Pack Alpha his dad used to have a tattoo that was similar so he would get one like that too. Lastly, I think the whole gang (Asher, Milo, Tank, and David) has a matching tattoo of wolf paw prints that they got at an empowered tattoo place.

Angel: Angel is almost opposite of David when it comes to tattoos, they just have a bunch of random shit. And they have picture ones and unlike David who tries to not get tattoos for games Angel has so many game tattoos. They of course have David's name on them, if David got his angel tattoo after the wedding, then they got it together. If not, it was a sperate time. They have an animal crossing tattoo (I don't play animal crossing so, whatever you think), two Minecraft ones being a Minecraft tulip which they got first and after them and David had been together for a while, they got a Minecraft wolf tattoo for shits and giggles. They have a flower daisy tattoo for their main in super smash bros. They have the cat from Omori (I headcanon they played that and David had to console them after) and so many other randoms one. They also definitely have a tattoo that they regret getting and don't like anymore but don't have the heart to get rid of it.

Asher: Asher, just like Angel has a shit ton and most of them are absolute bullshit. He has a Halo tattoo (again don't play halo so you can say what it is exactly) A spider man tattoo because I'm an Asher loves spiderman believer. He has random meme ones that are only funny to him. One of his favorite joke ones is the one that has the copyright symbol, and it says '1993.' He has a random monster energy drink tattoo that David wanted to strangle him for getting. Of course, though he has a jiggly puff tattoo along with his matching one with the shifters. And... Asher may or may not have some tattoos that he got while drunk. Don't tell David though.

Babe: Out of everyone on this list, Babe has the least number of tattoos. It's just not there thing and there hospital pretty stingy on tattoos (keeping my ER doctor Babe AU strong) They only have two really. They have the caduceus tattoo (again ER doctor Babe) and one Asher managed to convince them to get one which is their Piranha Plant tattoo that they have on their ankle. They act like they regret it, but they don't. Asher says it's there matching one with super smash bros because that's the closet he's going to get to a matching tattoo with Babe.

Milo: Milo also doesn't have a lot of tattoos I think he really likes his skin untouched just covered in freckles he also is not a fan of the pain that comes with getting a tattoo. I think Milo has a low pain tolerance. So, he only has a few. First of course is that matching one with the shifters. He also has a tattoo of a cat, Aggro specially of course on his chest. His last one though is after the inversion when he was able to start shifting again. He got a wolf howling where his core feels it is quite close to Aggro's tattoo. To symbolize that moment and to show more appreciation for his wolf after not being able to shift for so long because I really think that moment greatly affected him (and one of my arguments for why Tank shouldn't be turned...I mean, who said that?)

Sweetheart: Sweetheart has just a few tattoos just ones they felt were right. I think when they started working at DUMP, they were too afraid to get any tattoos because they didn't want the department to get on their ass so didn't have any at the start. But eventually they just said, fuck it, and got what they wanted because their coworkers had tattoos or something. First, I think they have stars somewhere on their body. Is there a big reason for this? No, I don't think every tattoo needs a reason, and I think Sweetheart would get a tattoo they think looks cool. I think they would also get an Aggro tattoo. Milo had already had his before Sweetheart and Milo got together so they got there's a couple years after they've been together for a while. I think Sweetheart got one for investigation because they loved their job and they were so proud to be an investigator but...after they quit DUMP I think they get the phrase 'Carpe Diem' under it to celebrate them quitting and to say fuck you to the department.

Tank/Darlin: Ok, now it may seem I said Angel and Asher have a lot of tattoos...it's nothing in comparison to Tanks...like oh my goodness they have so many it's not funny. Most of them don't have reason there just there. They have full sleeves, a lot on their back, and a decent amount of neck tattoos. Some specific ones in this vast number of tattoos are of course the matching ones with the shifters. A cowboy hat or quote from the Mitski song 'be the cowboy.' I think they have a bite mark tattoo. I think they have an Icarus tattoo after leaving Quinn and finally being free of that relationship. I think they got it as more of a reminder to never 'fly so close to the sun' as they did with Quinn even though I think they do 'fly too close to the sun' again but that's rather here nor there. I think they had a Quinn tattoo because they get ones so randomly. I don't think they get rid of it until after the Quinn confrontation where they walk away from him and finally let go. I think the Quinn tattoo is the only one they've ever gotten rid of it, and it left a scar on their thigh which is where I think they had it.

Sam: Much like David actually I don't think Sam would get a tattoo without reason, nor do I think he's the type of person to get a tattoo for like...a game or something. So, the one's he has are very significant. I think he has a star shape on his palms to represent his healing since you use your hands so much in healing. I think after he turned, he debated getting rid of them, but he decided against it after deciding that even if he's now a vamp, he still is a healer even if he doesn't have as much power in that department as he used to. I think he got one that says 'darlin' after Tank said they were mates. I think that moment was very important to Sam it showed how much they cared for him so of course he got a tattoo for them. Lastly, I think he has a tattoo that say 'memento mori' after he turned. I'll let that one speak for itself if you know the meaning.

Let me just say…YES! FUCK THE DEPARTMENT!! I love that Sweetheart finally took the plunge. And I would beat just Anton proudly stating that he’s left influenced there decision.

I even saved a page in my sketchbook for him!! I hope yall like it, I don’t think it’s as good as Jeff’s but y’know

Disclaimer: This has a lot of opinions and is probably not a good argument for this case when you boil down to it but…y’know.

(Also, this is an incomplete "essay", will I finish this ever? Idk I just want to let my thoughts out)

So will this essay have any real format? No. I am basically here to yap and say it’s an essay to make it look more professional. Thank you for your time.

Why we shouldn’t judge the ALNST characters the same moral way as we do ourselves. First, what do I mean by that? So when watching characters or reading about them we subconsciously place them in a morally good or bad spectrum  based on our own morals. And everyone changes differently based on what they think is right and wrong. For example, Light Yagami is a morally controversial person. We can all agree on that. However, how you may place him on your moral scale may be different from me or other people. Some might say he was never justified in his actions of using the death note because he killed people and killing is always wrong no matter the reasoning or who it is. But others might think differently thinking he was justified in his actions because he was killing criminals and it actually helps the world's crime rate drop in the universe of death note (sporiles for death note too I guess…oops)

There are so many different arguments for Light Yagami’s good or bad rating, most putting him in morally gray. But for Light Yagami as a character we can use our own moral compass to judge him because no matter how fictional Light lives in a normal world of Japan and was raised by two parents and lived a pretty normal life until he got the death note. So again we can judge him in a way that would be normal for us.

However…when taking into consideration the AlNST characters more specifically our main six can we use that same moral compass we use for other characters? My argument is no.  For a multitude of reasons but it all boils down to one truly.

They were raised by fucking aliens. You may think how does that really change anything based on how we morally scrutinize these characters but I think it changes a lot. Because aliens, especially the aliens in Alien Stage do not hold the same moral compass as we do. They blow up planets, experiment on children, make humans into slaves, and so much more and no matter how you think of the human race we draw the line at some point. So…if these characters were raised in a completely different environment from us for their whole lives can we really put them in the same box as we do others? And i’m not saying we can’t hold these characters accountable for their actions because of this i’m mostly saying…maybe give them some grace? However if you don’t agree with my point when it's put at its most surface level then let me take it apart for you. (Or whatever I’m about to do)

First things first, the whole concept of the Alien stage does a lot for a person. Especially since it’s been going on for 50 seasons. So these characters don’t act in the same moral way as we expect because of the Alien stage. One of the reasons is this whole thing really desensitized these characters to death. They see it before they even go on the stage themselves; they know what it is and what happens to them. They see it in video form as they apparently have access to past seasons or their alien “caretaker” will take them to see the show. This makes death seem normal for them. Like it’s something the human eye should see. And is expected of them in some form. 

So…can we really be surprised when some characters like Ivan and Sua sacrifice themselves for love? Or what they think love is (i’ll get into that later) because it’s not such a crazy concept for them as it is for us because as a human race we are kinda driven to do anything to survive but for them…that’s just another thing they are used to. Of course they fight to survive in the form of a competition but they are willing to die at any moment and they think that’s normal because that’s all they know. But then for characters like Luka can we really blame him too? He was built to be the perfect winner so it’s almost like the aliens forced him to have that drive to live. So of course he does anything in his power to live or really to win, no matter how morally obtuse we may think it is. So what these characters do in the confines of Alien Stage as a thing can we really blame them?

Even Till and Mizi show that willingness to die. Till during Round 6 when mentally he’s lost his drive with thinking Mizi might be dead he just gives up the only reason he survives is because Ivan sacrifices himself harder. And Mizi even though she did try to fight from death during round 5 she still succumbed to such a thing by beating Luka up. No matter her emotions during that moment she knew that it was against the rules to attack another competitor but at that point I don’t think she cared. Along with almost jumping off a cliff during her time in Aknat Garden before Sua saved and the only thing keeping her going was so she didn’t have to see that look on Sua’s face which may seem selfish to the average viewer but there form of love is all these children have (again I’ll get to that) So being so accepting of death and yourself dying changes you as a person and  since it is not something us as people usually have to deal with using our own morals in a situation like this doesn't really work. 

Now looking into the ALNST characters' relationships is a fun process however using our own moral longevity is not a fair base for these characters. We can’t judge their romantic nor platonic relationships on relationships on what we know in real life or in other media. (In my opinion) because their concept of love and affection in both ways is represented by aliens. And even when it’s not they gravitate to it like it’s gospel because these human connections are all these people have. With the Aliens it’s kinda like an abuse victim in a paternal sense when they tell you they love you but they're hurting you but that’s what you learn love is. Because that’s all you know, that's all they know. Mizi is a good example of this using the whole ‘crushing’ fantasy she had along with slapping Sua pretty recently after she was slapped herself. Then taking into consideration romantic love the best example they have of that is Alien’s themselves if they have a partner but they are never ones to explain things or be good examples to these impressionable childrem so they have to take it into their own hands and it may get a little constituted. It may be a little incorrect based on our own moral ideas of relationships so we can’t put them on the same pedestal as us. Let’s give an example one by one to make it more simple.

Mizi and Sua, where do I begin? We all know this relationship is toxic. But again that is taking into consideration our own moral ideas of what is right and wrong to do in a romantic relationship. Mizi is not good towards Sua at all, she uses her in ways that aren't completely right. But that’s all she knows. That hitting people and saying you love them a second later is love. That killing yourself basically because you're so in love with someone that you think it’s for the better. (there both in that area) Thinking that people only love or even like you for your looks the only person who doesn't is Sua, so of course she latches onto her.  Sua does the same except for my knowledge she doesn't hurt Mizi she is more attached because what Mizi does is what she thinks love is too. Because she was likely abused in her own way and she seems to forgive Mizi pretty simply because she’s disastrously codependent.And at some point it might be love. In their way. It’s more of an obsession in our terms but again…our terms. We must take into consideration their circumstances and not our own. 

I'm working on this fic (not the Babe ER AU, even though that is included in this) and when I write I like some feedback if I'm feeling iffy about it so I would like your opinion on it.

It is a rough draft, so my grammar isn't perfect, I'm also very dyslexic, and this isn't the whole chapter I'm still to find out how to format that. So apologies. If you have any critiques (as long as it's not like...bullying me or something) or suggestions, on how to make it better or how to add the rest of the redacted characters without making it repetitive I would love to hear!

Fic Snippet under the cut

The leaves rustled as paws trampled the grass beneath them. The wind hollowed passing the bright winter solstice moon that hung in the sky. Along with the wind a pack of wolves howled back and forth seemingly in taunts as they raced. It was a stampede of wolves of all different fur coats and sizes.  Breaking twigs, crushing leaves, and trampling the grass as they dashed through the tall trees of the woods. And at the front of the pack was the smallest wolf there.

He had a brown coat with greys and beige coating the whole. No matter the wolf’s size he moved between the trees with swiftness and agility pushing past the whole pack in record time as he was ready to claim his winning title again. However suddenly the tremors of the ground slowed and the constant sound of paws against grass vanished. The wolf stopped in his tracks turning his muzzle towards the endless abyss of trees and darkness to no longer see wolves trailing behind him. No one for that matter.

The wolf's eyes shifted looking around the clearing that he ended up in. It was decrepit as the trees looked like they had eyes and the only way to go that wasn’t back into the dark forest was a cave that seemed endless. The wolf howled out hoping to get an answer from his pack but no answer came even as he stuck up his ears and started sniffing around he could find no trace of his family. His breathing began to grow heavy, trailing himself in circles as he tired to see anything, anyone in that dark abyss.

He started to whimper, not being able to hold himself back, his ears falling onto his skull. His paws crunched against some leaves as he moved slowly towards his only source of hope. The cave. He didn’t trust going back into the forest without another wolf in there with him. Wolves weren't meant to be alone. So instead he creeped towards the cave hoping if he stayed somewhere in one spot his pack would find him.

The cave was cold water dripping from the spikes on the ceiling, the wolves coat only able to do so much as the cave seemed unnaturally cold. His recently clipped claws scraped against the rock floor. As the wolf went deeper and deeper in the cave it suddenly grew warmer however the wolf started to feel even weirder. His body felt like it wanted to twist and turn, and that he wanted to stretch himself out to where he stands on both feet. Eventually without his say so he suddenly shifted out of his wolf into a human man. The man being Milo Greer himself as he fell onto a carpeted floor. 

It was the most painful shift Milo had ever experienced. Along with it being without him doing it of his own free will. There was something more concerning Milo noticed, he couldn’t shift back. It was an awful feeling. His wolf felt like he was trapped in a cage that was unbreakable and especially constricting. It was like a part of him was locked away and he couldn’t reach out to it. He groaned, gripping onto himself tightly, turning his head up to finally get a look at where he ended up.

It was a movie theatre. A proper movie theatre. With seats that lined up to the back of the room a big plasma screen with speakers lining the walls. It was completely different from the cave he was just occupying. He couldn’t help but let out an “what the fuck!?” His accent thick as he screamed into the empty room.

A humongous wolf skidded to a stop with a black coat that almost matched the sky. Slowly behind him was a wolf with a burnt red coat white on their under belly similar in size to the wolf next to them. Lastly a wolf with a white coat that was smaller than the other two but was by no means small quickly joined them before the three of them shifted. Other wolves joined them at random intervals shifting along with them.

The wolf with the black coat turned into a hulking figure, with broad shoulders and a sharp face. The white wolf turned into a blonde headed boy that was more scrawny but anyone looked scrawny next to David Shaw, the black coated wolf and Alpha of the pack. The white wolf was Asher Tabolt, the beta of the pack. Lastly the burnt red wolf named Tank turned into a tank themselves with scars coating their body along with tattoos and piercings. 

“Wasn’t Milo in front of us?” David asked looking around but the only thing he saw in the distance was grass and his own home where his mate was along with the rest of the pack who weren't wolves. Asher walks next to him, his shoes crunching the leaves beneath him bouncing on the balls of his feet still feeling the high of the winter solstice. It was a miracle he shifted back at all.  

“Normally he is, bastard was always faster than us. He loved shoving it in our faces too.” Asher complained a glimmer than showed in Asher heterochromatic eyes and his smile grew into a grin showing off his sharp canines. “Does that mean I finally beat him? Yes! Victory is mine!”

“You still came in third.” Tank retorted which earned them a shove from Asher making them laugh.

“Come on, let me have this!” Asher said however before they could continue David shut them up with glare. One more serious than usual which caused the two to stop talking and look at David with furrowed brow as he continued to look around. David turned his head to look at the rest of the pack as the last of the members dashed in from the woods however no Milo was in sight. Asher looked at David seeing his lips pressed together, a furrowed brow, and eyes that screamed danger but not at anyone in present at someone who wasn't there. Asher could swear he could hear a growl come out of David’s mouth even if he would deny so later. 

“Is…Is this something we should be worried about David?”

David huffed gripping onto his clothes that weren't torn apart due to the whole pack practicing shifting without their clothes being torn. David wasn’t sure if he should feel worried or not. He might just be paranoid but something in his core was telling him something wasn’t right. Milo wasn’t one to come in last for their races. “I don’t know, I could be wrong. I’m going back there to see if I can find him. Maybe he went the wrong way…”

Before David could run off and shift into the woods two hands gripped onto his wrist respectively. “Then we're going with you.” Asher said looking into David's dark eyes holding his ground firm.

“Yeah, no wolf goes alone. We're coming with you.” Tank said, still gripping onto David’s wrist, unlike Asher who had let go at this point. David sighed but nodded which convinced Tank to remove their rough hand from David’s wrist but not before pressing their thumb against one of David’s tattoos which was a G on his pulse. “Should we tell Milo’s mate?” Which David shook his head at.

“No need to cause them unnecessary stress. They’d probably run in the woods. And while I do know they're capable, I'd rather not have to go looking for two members of my pack.” David said with a sigh and then turned to the rest of the pack. “Eeveryone else go back to my house if Milo returns. Hold down the fort. We will be back soon.” And then they were off running in their wolf forms faster due to the solstice. Some others asked if they could join but were denied finding it easier to search with a smaller group. 

The three howled in the woods calling out for Milo as their searches went on, all three of them grew more worried. David couldn’t hold back his growls anymore. Asher fur started standing up and Tank somehow seemed to grow faster in speed. They eventually reached a weird clearing in the woods; the only direction to go other than back was a cave. 

David started sniffing the ground as he did in most areas of the woods, his snout basically permanently glued to the ground. Until he suddenly shot his head up turning towards his two pack members who quickly got what he was trying to tell them. Milo was here. They all turned towards the cave which Tank quickly took the plunge to which made David sigh and Asher snicker as they both followed them. As they went deeper into the cave David could sense his smell being even closer due to having the best nose out of the three of them. 

Then they started feeling weird…the cave grew warmer and their bodies felt like they were going to twist and turn. It was especially uncomfortable for David and Tank since they were so big as wolves. Eventually though all three of them were forced to shift as they all fell onto a carpeted floor. Well more like David fell on the carpet and Asher fell on David and Tank fell on Asher. Which made for an uncomfortable feeling especially since they shifted without their own want.

“Asher if you don’t get off me.” David growled out muffled due to his face being buried into the luckily clean carpet floor. 

“I’m trying, but Tank is crushing me with their hulking body. What did they feed you while you were out hunting out Quinn?” Asher wheezed out which just made Tank grumble as they clambered off him and then Asher got off David which made David sigh in relief at the loss of heavy weight on his back. However he got an even more quick relief when he saw Milo rush over to them.

“Guys? How’d you get here?” Milo asked before he was swarmed by David, Asher, and Tank looking him over making sure he was alright which made the shorter boy raise his hands but he couldn’t help but smile at feeling the care they were displaying. That they were worried about him. It made his blocked but still there core feel warm which made the question from David asking if he was alright an easy one. “I’m not injured but…David…I can’t shift. I don’t know what’s wrong…” 

Milo’s bottom lip quivers and tears form at the edge of his eyes. Milo wasn’t one to cry but he was attached to his wolf. He couldn’t bear the thought of not being able to shift again. David gently put his hand on Milo’s shoulder looking into his Hazel eyes. “Hey, Milo. It’s alright. I can’t either. And based on the look on Tank’s face they can’t as well.”

Tank had a frown on their face grumbling to themselves. When they heard David call them out which made them pout whispering to themselves, ‘am I that obvious?’ Which made Asher serve them with a nod and Tank quickly retorted with a middle finger. They hated not being able to shift. 

“So, I think it has something to do with this room…” David told Milo over Tank and Asher bickering. Milo nodded still on edge from all this, ending in a strange place and not being able to shift. It was a wolf's worst nightmare. He was just happy some of his pack was here. The only thing that would make it better was his mate. 

It was like the room heard him as he thought that suddenly four more people joined the room in a more graceful form than the three wolves who fell on top of each other instead they just fell on the ground in different spots. It was all their mates. The four of them quickly rushed to their mates calling out their names or pet names. 

“Angel? What are you doing here? We told the pack we’d be right back…” David said, rushing over to his mate and gently cupping their face. Which made Angel raise an eyebrow.

“Well clearly not because you're here.” Angel huffed and then wrapped their arms around David’s waist burying their face into his chest. Which made David smile gently resting his hand on their head playing with their hair. Milo and Sweetheart were kissing which seemed to be the way they greet each other no matter the situation. Sam was gently scolding Tank while holding onto their hand like it was a life line. Lastly Babe was looking over Asher for any injuries making sure he was alright.

“You can tell I have a doctor for a mate because this is the first thing they do after a dangerous situation." Asher said with a grin as Babe looked him over for injuries but he was clearly shut up by a glare given from Babe which he quickly obeyed.

“You can also tell they have you on a leash.” Milo snickered, him and Sweetheart now just holding hands as Sweetheart looked around the room to get an idea of what situation they were in. Tank also groaned at the constant reprimanding they were getting from Sam.

“I don’t know why you're on my tail so much…we weren’t even gone that long.” Tank complained which made Sam, Babe, Angel, and Sweetheart whip their head towards the shifter. Which made Tank raise an eyebrow.

“You all were gone for hours. The whole pack is looking for you all right now…” Sweetheart said, gripping onto Milo’s hand tighter. Which made the four shifters look at their mates and each other with a look that is best described as dread. David couldn’t help but now understand why Angel was gripping onto him so tightly now.

“Hours? We looked for Milo for only…at most ten minutes.” Asher said which made Babe furrow there brow now determining that their partner was alright they griped onto his hand just like the rest of the mates + Sam who was kinda in the air who he was to Tank at this point. Their relationship was still kinda new. 

David knew something wasn’t right. Something was wrong with this “movie theatre” . They couldn’t shift and time seemed to be in a sorta wack. David gripped onto Angel tighter as he got an idea. “Sam, Stealth.” They both turned their heads towards David. “Can you two use your magic?” He asked which both of them shook their heads at. 

“No, the only Vampire thing I feel is my blood thirst and even that has gone significantly down.”  Sam said it was weird, it almost felt like he was human again. Except without his powers which even now he felt that was a better fate than his constant life as blood sucking Vampire. It was almost freeing in a way. But he also knew by that look on his Darlin’s face that they couldn’t shift which they wouldn’t wish on any shifter, especially on Tank, someone who lived and breathed their wolf form.

“Nope. I can’t even cloak. It’s weird. I’m assuming y'all can’t shift?” Sweetheart asked which Milo nodded in reply earring a hug from his mate and a kiss on the head. However quickly after that Sweetheart went into investigator mode. “We need to figure out where we are though. This place clearly isn’t normal.” Everyone agreed on that as they began to investigate the theatre.

Milo tried to open the door that was at the back of the theatre but it wouldn't budge. Not even with David's strength would it move and maybe if Sam had his vampire strength it might work but that wasn’t an option. He did try though and failed miserably which just made Tank snicker at him. Babe determined there were nine rows of seats and fifty five seats in total. There were two big bars that were locked and Sweetheart couldn’t find a key. Lastly they determined there was no way to exit from the way they came which seemed to be closed.
