I have been thinking about "The Witch Trails of J.K Rowling" and in the podcast Phelps-Roper asks Rowling 'what if you are wrong?'. Rowling basically goes on to explain how she will apologise and then throw herself into activism and fund charities to help trans people etc etc. It just bothers me that Phelps-Roper didn't ask this to any of the trans ideology side, even just to get them thinking. The reality is that if they are wrong this means they have rolled back sex based protections and lgb protections for a lie which supports the oppressor class. It means that they have facilitated one of the biggest forms of medical malpractice that has ever existed. It means that they have misled an entire generation of young people, who were unable to receive the support they should have been getting under the grounds of conversion therapy, all while supporting conversion therapy rhetoric. And this is only the tip of the iceberg. I just really wish that someone would challenge the trans movement with this question and the person who is asked actually considers it and answers honestly.
