the thing is, you can like whatever dynamic you like between two characters, the issue is when you're telling others it's bad to prefer a dynamic other than the one you prefer and then listing off homophobic/misogynistic reasons for liking what you like. it's also fine to like something a particular way just because you find it hot. it's okay to say so. but if you want to bring up other reasons for why you prefer the things you do, it's so so so important to examine your own opinions and where they come from. why do you find certain roles more feminine? why is passivity a female trait to you? why are there only two options for something in your head? why does one of those options read inherently degrading to you? you can be unintentionally homophobic or misogynistic and the fact that you don't realize it does not absolve you. the responsibility to find out why you think a certain way and to correct it is still yours to take.
