It's different from Jonathan's process--Jonathan wouldn't shoot Polaroid--but he likes that, too, and Jonathan happily puts Will's shitty photos on his fridge. But the important thing is that he has this proof of his freedom, this life he's building, that he can surround himself with when he needs to remind himself that he is loved and his life is full and he is moving forward.
