epilogue gay bar discourse resurfacing again even after six months is so ridiculous. there is nothing offensive about the depiction of will at the bar meeting his friend/boyfriend. the argument that will wouldn't smoke/drink/engage in any sexual relationship is inherently puritanical. there is nothing insidious about gay bars, and implying that will's presence there means that he will contract AIDS is homophobic.

if people could stop associating gay bars with AIDS purely to justify their belief that no byler endgame was an act of homophobia that would be great thank you. you are being more homophobic than you think the show is.
