“Awh, someone has some missed place anger.” Mark gave a fake antagonistic pout. “Now, that isn’t true. You heroes use your powers just as recklessly as we do. We just have more of a… plan.” He shrugged. “Oh, please suck it up, if I wasn’t around those freak mortals would still be afraid of freaks like you.”

“and i’m a speedster, so i totally understand how that feels.” she was a… well, a metahuman. with superspeed. “do they already know that about you though?”

“Hey now, nothing wrong with being the bad guy.” Mark said with his sinister smirk. “If it wasn’t for us, then some of these good guys wouldn’t have work or be able to ‘do what they love’.” 

“even though the whole swear part wasn’t really NECESSARY, i have to say that i agree with you. i don’t think they’ll force you… unless they’ve got something against you.”

“That’s what I’m saying. I will kill them before I sign my name on some… ‘mark of the beast’ contract.” He teased.

“something that has come from fear, unfortunately. it’s ridiculous. people ain’t going to go along with this easily and it’s gonna cause something.” 

“i don’t know yet what i’m going to do. i take it that you don’t plan to sign?”

“i don’t know if this right or wrong but no one should be forced to register for it.”
