Me: âhey man what you did was sorta racist, and hurt me, hereâs a full explanation why and hereâs some resources to improve your knowledge â
A white: âI donât agree.â
Because all of that is subjective. If your offense is subjective it doesnât need special treatment. Plus what the person did was most likely not even a bit racist but youâre just an overly sensitive person who thinks everything is racist.

Also, stepping in here, the moment someone says you hurt them, you donât get to decide that you didnât.Â
Maybe you didnât mean to, so apologize and move on. But if it was your intention, then youâre just an asshole.
Donât apologize and move on. Apologize and educate yourself and do BETTER.
But Yes:
âsomeone says you hurt them, you donât get to decide that you didnâtâ
Thereâs a great quote from the book Note Worthy (By Riley Redgate) that I have on my wall;
âThere is no world where âYouâre wrongâ is an acceptable answer to âThis hurtsââ
And I feel like a whole lot of people need to keep that in mind.
If your kid steps on another kidâs foot and the other kid says âow,â you want your kid to say âIâm sorry,â not âyouâre wrong.â And if the other kid has a broken foot, and your kid steps on that broken foot and says âow,â would you want your kid saying âyouâre being too sensitiveâ or âIâm sorry,â but even more so?
