there's something to be said about how in minor scale (and maybe other episodes too but i'm using minor scale as the main example), mk really takes monkey king's advice to heart. and it's helpful. it works. because mk trusted his instincts, he was able to learn about the lady bone demon's existence. because he thought little, he was able to escape her and spider queen. whether monkey king realizes it or not, mk does need him.
