I hope you don't mind if it's Jack related to your au. How would Jack be able to apply for the job? Would Jester even let other monsters outside his family help work in the business? Ik I added Jackie already for the funsies, but I am wondering if Jester would like outsider help as well. It looks much harder to run a hotel with only four staff and him being the singular boss.

Speaking of, has anyone asked how Jester came to starting a hotel business? Is their backstory the same as in canon, or was the ringmaster in this au a corrupt hotel business owner and they were forced to work for him before taking him down?

Don’t worry about creating OCs in my AU, in fact, it makes me happy. :3

I think I’ve answered this question before, but they would prioritize hiring members of their own species. If they were truly short-staffed and there were no others of their species available to hire, they would probably hire a human, drug them or have Jester use his powers like he did on Day 2 of the canon visual novel.

As for whether anyone has asked why Jester opened this business in the first place, I’ve answered that too, but it was a long time ago.

Basically, Jester and some of the other staff wanted to take a break from the circus and stay in one place for a while, so they decided it would be better to open a different kind of business: a hotel.

I apologize for the inactivity; I was simply working on a webcomic for my OCs.

This Sunday (June 7th), the comic will be released in both English and Spanish version!!

It’s true that I mentioned Jester refuses to adopt new technologies (which is also why I mentioned that he constantly has to deal with authorities, manipulating, convincing or drugging them so they’ll allow the hotel to operate without security cameras. That’s part of why he’s so stressed).

In the case of a critical situation like the one you mentioned, it would depend heavily on the circumstances, but they would most likely get rid of the victims (and if they found whoever caused it, they’d end up dead too). They don’t want any more problems.

Otherwise, it would be the same story for Jester to explain away.

Were there witnesses? Either drug them to give them amnesia or get rid of them as well.

Some humble headcanons for the monster forms of these two characters.

As a big fan of Doctor, I like to imagine that he’s fluffy, covered in fur and feathers, although his chest, parts of his arms, hands and feet are purely scales. As for his beak, it has some protrusions that mimic teeth (and idk whether to give him actual sharp teeth inside the beak). Either way, that would make it easier for him to tear flesh apart.

As for Jester, I love the idea of them being an insectoid humanoid. The pink parts glow and are fluorescent! I also added some violet hair on certain parts of the body. Since their “skin” is basically an exoskeleton, I feel like they wouldn’t have much sensitivity, so the hair serves that purpose: providing sensory input! Idk if you’ve noticed already, but I used the colors from Jester’s outfit.

In any case, I gave them slightly smaller horns than usual, otherwise they’d need an insanely strong neck to support them.

然后我用塔罗牌梦占问了要是喊tickettaker为叔叔会怎么样，说是表面没怎么样但是背地里已经开始在意年纪，类似“我真的那么老了吗，到了被喊这个的年纪”：DI did a dream divination with tarot cards to see his reaction, and the result says he acts totally unfazed on the surface, yet secretly starts dwelling on his age, thinking things like "Am I really that old already, old enough to be called that?" :D

（不过问这个问题的前提是关系得好点，且我这个塔罗牌占卜还按“一人一户”算，就是每个人都有自己的pierrot、harlequin、jester、docter、tickettaker，所以我问的是我自己这边的tickettaker） (This only applies when you two are pretty close. Also, my tarot divination follows the "one person, one household" rule—everyone has their own Pierrot, Harlequin, Jester, Doctor and Ticket Taker. So I was asking about my very own Ticket Taker.)

What would happen if we called Ticket Taker “uncle”? What would his reaction be?

I think he wouldn’t react much. If you’re someone he trusts a lot, maybe he’d give you a little pat on the head and a tired smile that’s barely noticeable. With children, both humans and his own species, he might show a small smile.

Still, he would probably raise an eyebrow in confusion if it came from a stranger.

Does Ticket Taker care about his age in my AU?

I think he’s aware of his own age, but since he’s always so busy, he might forget a little just how old he is. He’d probably get slightly annoyed if humans mention his age, while being indifferent if it comes from someone of his own species. Though if a child mentions it or calls him that (whether human or monster), he’d probably ask himself, “Am I really that old already?” since children are very observant.

A mutual of mine saw the Jester you drew in the screenshot and left that comment, and they got even more excited when I told them about how Pierrot’s ears can flap up and down like fairy wings!

The idea of all of them having elf ears simply seemed cute to me and I felt like it could make them more expressive. A lot of people mentioned that they love when Pierrot moves his ears when he’s really happy, and I’m not going to stop drawing it because he’s such a cute puppy.

And regarding reposting my content:

I’m always okay with people reposting my art and content (for translations, edits, for example) as long as: proper credit is given, my content is not monetized and it is not used for AI or NFTs.

He won’t work at the hotel; instead, Sir Chas Chas will be a food supplier together with Makx.

Makx is there because they need money while studying mechanical engineering in Brazil.

They distribute the food during the afternoon/night because Sir Chas Chas is an idiot and gets drunk a lot, so Makx drives the van. But hey, Sir Chas Chas pays well, so there are no problems. 🤙

I’d say it depends on what kind of entity MC is.

If they’re one of them, they’ll be calm and maybe even happy (as long as they don’t cause trouble, of course). But if they pose a danger to them and to the guests and visitors, they might kill you or quietly throw you out of the hotel.
