Ecco dipped the brush in the red face paint, grinning at Jeremiah as she did so. Halloween was her favourite holiday – everybody celebrated being a freak together. “You’re gonna make the most handsome Pennywise, boss,” she said, painting the clown’s signature red lines down the man’s face. “Dressin’ up as someone so popular will probably get ya some votes, too.” The other candidates could never look as good as her Jeremiah. No matter how he was dressed, he always captured everybody’s attention, costume or not. “And I’ll be the best Georgie, I promise.” With a giggle, she pulled the hood of her bright yellow raincoat up over her head. “Now let’s paint this cute nose of yours.” Ecco sighed softly as she tapped the tip of it with the brush, then gave her head a vigorous shake.

Jane starts to paint a picture this where she was in her element, painting would always clam her down she would stroke the brush up and down on the canvas when someone is behind her. “What do you want?”

Ecco peaked over the woman’s shoulder, admiring her painting. She’d never been interested in stuff like that herself, but she could appreciate the beauty and the talent that went into it. When asked what she wanted, she shrugged her shoulders, a crazed grin on her face. “Nothin’, grumpy goose! I was just watching ya.” She patted the other on the back as she stepped back. “D’ya paint in public often?”

When Jeremiah heard her voice weakly calling out to him, he walked over towards her. Stepping over scrap metal. He could practically feel the heat coming off of every little piece. His mind going to back to when he did the some thing to one of his own followers. Clumps of meat and blood hitting the walls and the surrounding people. He recalled it smelling a bit like a barbecue. Like cooking pig’s meat. Only with a little more firepower behind it. He fished a tooth out of the hair of one of his followers after that. This was a lot less messy. He realized. Peaking around the dumpster as Ecco pushed herself up. He thought briefly about helping her, but he wanted to see how damaged she was. If she was really hurt, she wouldn’t be able to get up on her own. 

Once she was standing, he quietly assessed her. There was a blood, soaked through the fabric of her shirt, but unluckily her shirt was already red so it was difficult for him to distinguish how much blood there was. He squinted his eyes for a moment, thinking about the glasses that he had somewhere tucked away. They didn’t work with the new look, so he stopped wearing them all together. He’d get a clearer picture if he had them on. “You should stop wearing red.” He commented calmly. Cocking his head as he took it in one last time before, without a word of warning, stepping forward and scooping her up into his arms from where she was standing. It probably hurt her, but that thought didn’t cross his mind. “I’m going to take you to the car, and tend to you there. That’s alright, isn’t it?” He asked, but she didn’t have a choice. 

Ecco looked down at her stomach, understanding why Jeremiah had commented on her choice of colour. He probably couldn’t see how badly she’d been hurt, and maybe that was for the best. She didn’t want him to worry until they were safe, away from the chaos happening in the streets. If she wasn’t injured, she would’ve been all for it. “But it’s so pretty,” she said, thinking about what other colours she could wear. None would suit her as much as red, black, and white did, though. “Can you imagine me in any other colour?” she asked, trying to keep her mind occupied. She felt giddy, and not in a good way. She felt like she might lose her balance and topple over. 

When Jeremiah scooped her up with ease, she gasped in both pain and admiration. He was so strong, so thoughtful. He didn’t want her to have to walk -- he was the sweetest man. A lot of people believed that he only cared about himself, but Ecco knew different. He’d always be there for her like she was there for him. He was a true God who cared about his loyal followers. “Of course, Jeremiah. I trust you with my life. A man as smart, and talented as you, doesn’t have to ask for permission.”

There’s a small ball of fire shooting out of his hand, but it was more of a warning as it hits the wall behind who walked in. Even though Axel wasn’t looking — his senses enhanced enough to know where they stood. His gaze looks at them, and after a certain glare the stranger is running right back out the door. His posture softens, smile reappearing on his face, and he absorbs the flames burning off the wall. 

“Maybe next time they won’t try sneaking into places they don’t belong.” The thief says this with a simple shrug of his shoulders, not seeing it as a big deal. If his intentions were to set the person on fire he would have. 

Ecco looked on in shock as the guy shot fire out of his hand. How did he do that? He must’ve been one of those mutants. It hit the wall, and she let out an excited squeal. Maybe someone was going to die, and she loved the idea of that. It was what she was all about. The flames were bright, and orange -- so pretty, so distracting. When the victim ran, she laughed and looked at the stranger’s hands. The fire was going back into them. How...intriguing. 

Daniel found himself just sitting outside on a bench within the park, his eyes close just taking in the sounds of life happening around him. Buster had been beyond thrilled about him finally coming home and had wished maybe to take an outing with his father if he could handle it. Seeing the excitement within his son’s eyes how could he even turn him down even if he couldn’t bear to be outside just yet. He found himself startling awake at the sound of someone dropping down next to him. “He-Hello” 

Ecco had decided to leave the house without her makeup on today. After seeing the footage of her fight with the giant robot being broadcast on the news, she knew that going out as herself would be a mistake. Jeremiah would be angry if he had to stitch her up again. She held her side as she sat down on a park bench, enjoying the fresh air after being confined to bed for the past few days. The person beside looked like he was unconscious, sleeping, or maybe dead. She didn’t really care which it was. He finally spoke, and she looked at him with a wicked smile. “Hey, sleepyhead,” she said, crossing her ankles and relaxing. Nobody had recognised her so far. “I thought you were dead for a sec. I was about to steal your wallet.”

It didn’t take him very long to get to Ecco’s location. Not bringing a single other man and simply grabbing his Rocket Launcher and going on his way to meet her. After he was done toasting a robot for his lovely assistant, he’d have to scold her about always bringing an effective weapon with her. She should have never been in this situation in the first place. She should have been able to handle it herself. Jeremiah made a mental note to give Ecco some small explosives to keep on her. The man walked to her from where he parked (in the middle of the street). Whistling to himself as the walked down the sidewalk. Hearing people’s terrified gasps and watching them move swiftly out of his way once they realized what he was holding.

He turned the corner and put away his phone. “Ecco? Darling? Daddy’s come to collect you, get your things.” He announced and instead of seeing his proxy, a giant robot let himself be known and Jeremiah straightened himself out. Eyes widening with interest. “Oh my~” He said before lifting his weapon and aiming at it. With one pull of his trigger, there was an explosion and he had to not-so-gracefully duck to avoid getting struck with scrap metal. Waiting a moment for it to clear before cautiously looking around for her again. “Ecco?” He called.

“Come out, you’re… freaking me out.” 

Hearing Jeremiah’s voice was like hearing angels singing, and Ecco thought she was finally dead as she heard him call out to her. Was this what heaven was like? How had she even got there? She wasn’t worthy of being in such a holy place, she deserved to go to hell. In fact, she would’ve preferred it there. But, if heaven meant that she heard her sweet Jeremiah’s voice in her ears, she really didn’t mind it all that much. There was a pained smile on her face as she lay there, her hand pressed against the right side of her torso, applying pressure. Her boss didn’t want her to die, so she was trying to keep herself alive for him until he could stitch her up. He’d fix her, just like he fixed her before with that bullet. Their little game had set her free from her mind, and now he was going to fix her again. Gosh, he was such a saint.

Ecco rolled onto her side, trying to get a peek at what was going on. Her eyelids felt heavy, though. There was a loud explosion, and she could hear metal hitting the walls and the dumpster she was hiding behind. When he called out her name again, she gave a weak cough. He was really there, and she was still alive. She’d kept her promise to him -- he’d appreciate that. “Jeremiah,” she called out, trying to crawl out of the gap she was in. “I’m here,” she said, using the wall and the remainder of her strength to push herself up. 

“I don’t feel so good, boss.”

Ecco threw the Twister mat down on the floor, then turned to look at Ed. “Just so you know, I’m super flexible, so I’m gonna win,” she said, shrugging a shoulder as she called one of the henchmen over. “Spin the arrow when we’re ready,” she instructed, cracking her knuckles and stretching her arms above her head. “You have the height advantage, though, Nygma. Unless I cut off your legs.” It was meant as a joke, but she knew that she looked dangerous enough for it to be taken as a threat. She laughed before stretching her legs, then doing the splits in front of him to prove how limber she was. “Alright, I’m all warmed up! Let’s go, Greeny.”

Edward frowned at her, thinking to himself about how he could play games better than anyone. He’d seen the way she acted before in the criminals at Arkham. He knew not to judge their intellect based solely on how insane they were but he was still willing to bet that his mind held a lot more knowledge than hers. He was about to challenge her to a riddle when she stepped forwards, closer to him and Ed craned his neck back as to avoid her being too close to his face. She rambled on about the Church of Jeremiah and Ed’s eyes narrowed. “Of course I heard of it. That clown made the city into chaos.” He replied. Unsurprised that she was the leader of it. As she pulled out the gun, Ed instinctually tensed up a bit. She was talking about Russian Roulette. 

She pulled the trigger on herself and Ed couldn’t help but flinch a little. “That’s a game of chance.” He found himself saying as she offered him the gun. “But you started the game wrong. You’re supposed to show me that there’s only one bullet in there.” He said taking the gun from her and checking the chamber. There was only one. Then he glanced up at her and spun the chamber again so it was randomized. “There’s a one in six chance that this bullet fires. Which entails an 83% chance of survival. I must say, though… I would have preferred a word game.” He said, placing the gun to his head. 

Edward’s words made her eyes light up with pure joy. CHAOS -- something that she and Jeremiah did flawlessly. “You sound... bothered by that. I hope I’m wrooong,” she sung, waving the gun in her hand around wildly. Anybody who spoke out against her beautiful, perfect God, was an enemy. “I’d hate to waste my bullet early. The game isn’t as fun if I have to pull the trigger on you.” She hoped that her words were enough of a warning, and she hoped that the man would play along. Even if he didn’t approve of what they’d done to Gotham city, he could at least pretend to not care to save himself. 

“Oh, you think I’d lie to you?” she asked, her jaw clenching. Ecco played this particular game by the rules. She took this test of faith very seriously. She rocked forward on her tiptoes as he spun the chamber, clapping her hands together in excitement. “Better to be 83 than zero. That’s some quick math, though. Impressive.” Her voice was filled with childlike wonder as she stared at him, waiting for him to pull the trigger. When he did, and no bullet shot through his skull, she let out a groan of disappointment. “What’s a girl gotta do to see some gore around here? You have the best luck in the world, Greeny.”

Ecco gasped when she heard Jeremiah’s suggestion. He’d never talked about owning something with her before, and the idea of it was exciting. “Ya really mean that, boss?” she asked, jumping over a couple of dead bodies to get to him. She’d gotten a little too violent during an interrogation session. They just wanted to know where Batman was, was that such a crime? Nobody seemed to know, though. “How about a cat? No, wait! We should get a tiger. We could train it to rip apart our enemies.” Realistically, she knew that they couldn’t really own such an exotic animal. “Or an alligator!” Gosh, this was a dream come true. Her and Jeremiah looking after something together, and nurturing it. No, she had to stop being so sentimental. With a smile, she shook her head. Ping, ping, ping. “Whatever we choose, it’ll help us bring this city to its knees.”

Oswald was found himself working behind the bar today since one of his employees had yet to arrive in New York when he’d held the grand opening. Of course, this early in the morning there had been only a few low line criminals and his employee’s hanging around as he read over his project business plan. The sound of the women’s voice pulled him his work taking note of her singing voice, the scared male that was trying to ditch her as well as her outfit. It screamed clown, in all honesty, he probably shouldn’t have been surprised to see her or the male trying desperately and failingly to run away from her.  He held up his hand as soon as he henchmen moved to stop her, he wanted to see this play out, the man screamed from the shooting done to his knees hearing a rather familiar name slip from her lips. If it was one thing, he hated it was people who made messes in his club the women before he was obviously sent to check in on him after he’d had his little meeting with Jeremiah.

Before he even deemed her worthy of his voice, he moved to grab his gun shooting the male right between the eyes silencing him forever. “First you make a mess in my place of business, then you left the idiot free to scream causing me all manners of a headache” he replied moving to replace his gun back in its place. “You heard her get the lady sparkling water then take that body and get rid of it” He replied snapping his fingers. “Did Jeremiah send his little dog to come to play with me? Or are you here hoping to run and shoot me down like that dead idiot on the floor”

Ecco’s initial reaction was to gasp when she heard the gunshot, but when she realised that Penguin had just killed someone, she put her elbow on the bar and rested her chin on her hand. “So, the rumours are true... You love to kill anyone who ruffles your feathers.” She laughed at the other’s words, shrugging her shoulders as she grinned at him. “I like the screams. They give me such a rush. They remind me of why I love hurting people so much.” When one of the bartenders nodded at his order, and immediately grabbed her a bottle of sparkling water, she snatched it from him, then gave him a fake pout when he locked eyes with her. 

Oswald called her a dog, and she leaned over the bar, making sure that she was in his personal space. “Dog?” she repeated, before making barking noises as loudly as possible. “Careful, I’m rabid! You wouldn’t want me to bite your ankles, now, would ya?” She snapped her teeth together to show that she was being serious. “Jeremiah didn’t send me. I came looking for snakes, and I found one.” Ecco gestured to the blood on the floor behind them. “But you’re not a snake, are you, Penguin? You’d never betray someone as lifechanging as Jeremiah, would you?”
