“I think we should burn the entire building down to the ground.” Axel doesn’t know what came over him, but there was a certain urge to crave destruction. His palm presses against the locked door to the store, flames spreading across it to burn through it. He doesn’t wait for it to be finished before punching a hole through where the doorknob is. The alarm sounds AND he shoots a stream of fire where it was coming from. Axel twirls around to look at who was behind him. “What do you say?”

Jeremiah merely came for the conversation. Something about meeting up with Axel every once in a while was nice. It provided him with someone to talk too. Who to him seemed a little too level-headed. Until now of course. Jeremiah blinked in surprise and a deep chuckle escaped from him. Axel turned to face him and Jeremiah could sense the mania in his eyes. He craved his opinion, and who was he to turn him down? “I think... why stop at just one building? We should burn down this whole strip.”

Jeremiah eyed her for a minute. “It wouldn’t be your job, it’d be volunteer work! I’m looking for people to help my organization plant some trees! I only stopped and ask you because well… you look like you might have a green thumb.” He joked, gesturing to the woman’s green tinged skin. He let out a deep chuckle after his own joke before handing her a flyer for his Church.

When heard the woman announce that she was lost, he let out a chuckle. “How does one get lost in New York? The city is practically labelled like a grid.” He told her, most of him wanted to just leave it at that mockery but he had nothing better to do. The man sighed and shrugged his shoulders. “Well. Where do you want to go then?” He asked.

Jeremiah was taking a moment to himself. Laying on a bench with his hat lying on his face, over his eyes. He’d spent the day organizing his people and supervising the work they were doing on the bunker. The project was close to done now but it was still a lot of work. When the voice of a girl interrupted his resting, Jeremiah let out an annoyed sigh and lifted his hat to look at her. “What?” He asked, raising a brow and sitting up a bit. “What would you you have done if I was?”

“I thought I saw him twitch.” Jeremiah replied with a smile, glancing down at the body. He gave it a moment. He then unloaded the rest of his gun into the corpse’s head. “Alright.” He decided, pocketing his gun again. “I doubt he’ll move now.” He said, walking over to the woman. He didn’t mind her, she thought a lot him and honestly- looked a lot like him. Making him feel a sense of kinship. “So, where to next, partner?” 

Billy had been out of the dating scene ever since Loki, no dating apps, no one night stands or drunken hookups, he just wasn’t really the type. So when he had the chance to actually flirt with a guy he did it with some gusto, and even though he knew it would prove no avail, he still did it. “You definitely are.” The young mage smiled as he heard Jeremiah speak about his view on magic. “That would be the common assumption, but when magic is tied to the caster those so called consequences vanish if so does the caster. Well I guess it all depends on the type of spell and magic being used, but well magic is real, so you got me there.” He laughed. As they walked he noticed the building, a quiet beauty round the corner, covered in greenery. “Guess I must not be that good of a showman then.”

“So we agree on a lot of things, or so I’m seeing.” Billy mused as he watched Jeremiah, feeling a bit of shock once he mentioned his brother was six feet under. “So you’re a twin too? Interesting. Well my grandfather is one of the most renowned mutant terrorists with complete mastery over magnetism, my dad’s a synthezoid, and my mom could reshape the world with a thought. My twin however is fast. I also have a half sister who’s a robot. Let’s just say I can understand what’s it like to have odd family relations.” he mumbled. “You’ve got a nice smile, Jeremiah.” Taking the man’s hand he gave it a small shake and squeeze as his eyes didn’t leave the other. “Any reason why there’s a switch blade in the coat?”

He tried to listen to what Billy was saying. Talking about how the consequences would vanish if the caster did. “Sounds like magic is merely an extension of yourself and if you, being the source were to die it would too but I can’t see how that negates the fact it’s real. It’s not as though you could pretend it doesn’t exist and then it just doesn’t.” The part of Jeremiah that was still overwhelmingly sane, whispered in his ear still. It spoke of science and math. How they were the laws of the world everyone lived in and how magic defied them. He couldn’t help but feel interested in that. “Oh, stop it. You’re a fantastic showman.” He purred. “I’m just not the best audience. I have my eye on someone currently. Even though we’re not dating I’d like to be. You understand, I’m sure. My heart belongs to them.” 

“Yes, it’s looking to me like the two of us are going to be great friends.” He said with a smile. Then the other started talking about his family and how truly messed up it was. Jeremiah stared at him with a look of shock on his face. Truly unknowing how to respond. After a long moment of being shocked and confused, he let out a laugh. It was something he did when he wasn’t entirely sure what else to do. Besides. It was a little funny that someone else’s family was more messed up than his own. “I’m sure I can at least try to beat you in the odd family department. My brother actually died twice, and one time he had his face cut off and stapled back on. It’s no reshaping the world with a single thought but I think it’s pretty weird.” Jeremiah said with a shrug. Billy complimented his smile and Jeremiah chuckled. “Thank you,” Before the boy continued. Asking about the blade. “Ah- you felt that? It’s for protection. You think that’s bad? I used to carry around a very small gun.” He said before unlocking and pulling the door open. “Come in, then. Let’s warm you up.” 

“You’re just the total package aren’t you?” Billy said as his eyes teetered to Jeremiah’s features, and what he saw was a pretty beautiful man, and a seemingly calculating mind. From his choice of words Billy could tell he was smart, almost keeping him at arms length, but regardless he was enjoying himself far too much. “In the words of Yennefer of Venderberg, it’s magic, it’s not real.” He mused and that seemed to be the gist of his powers at least, being able to bend and shape reality to his will. Able to turn the moon into cheese, or make people purple, or sneeze away his clothes due to the most annoying magical cold. “But If you’d like a magical burlesque show just let me know, unless you’d prefer the impressive stripper routine, and I’ll see what I can come up with.”

“Ain’t everything like that?” He sighed. “All glitz and glamour for the public eye, but on the inside there’s a whole lot more that goes on.” he shrugged. “I like jokes, if someone is able to string together the perfect set of words to make someone laugh, then that takes real talent. A joke can either be a hit or flop entirely, takes skill. If you do that yourself, then it means you’re quite the talent. Jerome? Is he as cute as you?” Billy’s words were slightly flirty but in truth his thoughts were occupied by a certain someone already. “I’m not super into the violent stuff, but I guess I could appreciate it.” Billy smiled at the question. “It’s Billy Kaplan, but you can keep calling me Sweet Cheeks.”

Jeremiah hadn’t a clue how to respond to that, people didn’t often flirt with him. With the exception of Gwen and now this stranger. Whom was naked underneath his jacket. Part of him wondered if the standards of his generation had altered. He shrugged his shoulders. “I suppose I am.” He answered. He wasn’t sure who this Yennefer was, but he shook his head at the quote. It felt pretty real to him when he saw the clothes poof off the young man’s body. “I don’t think I agree with that. I think anything that has direct physical consequences can be considered real.” Jeremiah argued, taking the turn with the young man. Getting closer now to the building he called his church. It was an average looking building from the front. With old brick blanketed by ivy and moss. A simple, dark wooded door and average square windows, only once you ventured inside were you able to see the true beauty of it. “You don’t have to preform for me again, my friend.” 

“Absolutely.” He agreed. “It’s all about appearances.” He dug his hands into the pockets of his pants. Suddenly remembering that he kept a switch blade in the coat he gave the boy. He eyed him for a minute, wondering if he should take the blade back or let him keep it. When the boy kept talking, he decided that it didn’t matter. He could just get another one later and he doubted he really needed a weapon right now. Not when he was with the magic man. “I’m no joker, myself. I don’t sit there and craft them for hours, but I do agree that it’s impressive.” He said, then he asked if Jerome was as cute as him and his nose wrinkled. He’d always hated that they were twins. That he had to look like his psychopath of a brother. “I wouldn’t say so. He’s dead in a graveyard, six feet under the dirt. But we were twins, if that answers your question.” He stopped when they reached his church and held out his hand for the other. Giving him a small smile. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Billy Kaplan. I’m Jeremiah Valeska.” 

“Impressive, not the word I would use for myself, but I’ll take it if it’s coming from you. But you’re right the cold wouldn’t usually be a problem since I’d usually be clothed. Point me to a stage then,” Billy winked, and had his powers not suffered the damage of his cold he would’ve used a warming spell. The jacket was nice, comfortable, snugging and warming his skin as he wrapped it around his frame. It smelled of him, intoxicating and alluring as he Billy’s senses went hazy, only wanting to inhale more of him for a moment. “Are you sure?” he’d graciously take the gift as he twirled in it a bit, admiring how it looked on him. There was no point in hiding the truth from the man as he had clearly seen him, and on top of that gifted him a jacket that far more high end than anything he had in his closet. “Just say the word and I’m all yours,” Billy grinned, as he wiggled his fingers slightly, blue sparks twinkling around his digits. “My magic is a bit different from stage magic that’s for sure, it has a way of changing the way things are.” he said trying to explain it as briefly as possible. “So you lived in the circus? When I was younger, I would always be so excited to watch the clowns come on. Lots of kids were afraid of the clowns, but I kind of adored it. That ability to coin a joke at the speed of light, and the intricacies of comedy, it takes a real genius to master.”

Point me to a stage. An amusing thought crossed Jeremiah’s mind. They weren’t too far away from his stage of sorts. His alter. Where he just loved to put on a show. “Alright.” He agreed. “I own a building around the corner. How about I take you there and you can warm up a bit.” He suggested. The boy seemed to like the jacket. How could he not? He had great taste in clothing, if he said so himself. He couldn’t help but enjoy the other’s choice in words and in all honesty, Jeremiah wouldn’t mind having someone who could do magic on his side. He watched the sparks come from his finger tips and part of him wanted to reach out and try to touch them. Curious if they burned to the touch like fire. “I’d say it seems drastically different. Stage magic is just for show after all.” He noticed that the little magician kept his explanation sweet and short. 

“Oh, yes. The circus isn’t so fun when you’re living in it.” He said truthfully. Then the boy started talking about clowns and how comedy was a form of genius. He wouldn’t say genius himself. No, genius was what Jeremiah did for years in his bunker. Locked away from the world, enguineering new forms of energy and creating plans for buildings. “You would have liked my brother, Jerome. He too loved the clowns. I enjoyed their showmanship, but he lived for it. He was especially a fan of their slapstick comedy. You know... the violent stuff. I’m more fond of the cleverness that comes from spoken jokes.” He glanced over to him after a moment. “I never got your name, did I, Sweet Cheeks?” 

Gwen smirked at his partner comment, shrugging a shoulder. “Who says I’m not good?” she asked, keeping her gaze fixed on him. Nothing else mattered, not even the voice inside her head. Mania was pushed to the back to the back of her mind, and all she could focus on was the tension between the two of them. “I can’t lie to you, I already find you quite impressive…” she said, a little too shamelessly for her liking. As they began to move, her fingertips played with the teal coloured hair on the nape of his neck. Dancing with him was so effortless, and it made her feel like she was destined to do this with him. It was a pretty ridiculous thing to think, considering she barely knew him. 

With a smile, she rested her forehead against his shoulder. This was the most at peace she’d felt since getting Mania, but it was also the most alive she’d felt. Hesitantly, Gwen pressed a kiss to his jaw, her eyes flickering up to his, then his lips. Do it. Everything was so perfect, and she really wanted to kiss him, so she did. Her lips found his, and she kissed him softly at first, then a little deeper, her movements stilling so that she could focus on a much better activity.

Jeremiah chuckled at her response, “Alright. You have me there. Show me how good you are and I’ll gladly take it back.” He practically purred. Dancing with her was as natural to him as walking was. He could hardly explain it. How little he had to think as he moved with her. He smiled when she said that she found him impressive. She hardly knew him and wasn’t aware of how many accomplishments he had at his young age and yet she found him impressive already. Just as he was impressed with her. How she moved when they danced, how she spoke to him... He enjoyed every part of her that he knew, even if it wasn’t all that much yet. He ached to know her now. Yearned to learn all that he possibly could. 

He felt the kiss that she placed on his jaw and knew in that moment that they were feeling the same electric pull towards the other. Which was more than he ever got from his love and connection he felt towards Bruce Wayne. He leaned a little closer to her and suddenly her lips were on his. Stopping their dance early. She was treating him delicately for a moment, as if she was testing him and he applied a little more pressure to the kiss, as if to let her know he wanted it too. His lips tugged into a smile as they kissed and he moved a hand from the small of her back all the way up to the back of her neck. Tangling his fingers in her pastel hair. 

Billy was small in frame, at one point he might’ve been of average height in his team, but seeing Teddy tower over him he couldn’t help but feel diminutive next to some of the males. Now he stood naked out in the street thanks to his magical cold. Seeking the first sign of help, Billy blushed burning red at his smile. As the man draped his jacket over him, he felt the suddenness in which warmth hugged around him. “So you got front row seats to my burlesque show, well good to know I was able to do it without a hitch then.” Billy could do no less than giggle and try to stifle the embarrassment that kept eating at him. He grinned at the little nickname turning around to showcase them again. “Guess they are pretty sweet.” He paused, taking a moment to see how he could best describe what happened. “Magic,” he simply stated, shrugging as if it were the easiest explanation in the world. “I got a cold so it really only affects my magic even if I look fine physically, it’ll be gone by tomorrow. I already found the remedy. So I’m inclined to keep you company, maybe my powers will prove some form of entertainment right now? Plus you’re funny, and who doesn’t love a man who can actually deliver a good punch line.”

“Burlesque shows don’t typically show everything. You’re more like a very impressive stripper. Though I can’t imagine the cold weather is any good for your bits. You should consider taking your show to a stage instead.” He said, luckily Jeremiah wore a lot of layers and a suit jacket lay underneath the long winter jacket he handed off to the boy. He wondered if he should be leading him inside, after all, his feet must be freezing without some shoes. “Tell you what. Keep the jacket, I’ll have another one made for myself.” He said, realizing his own act of charity. He just appreciated the other’s joke, and how he was confident enough to turn around and show him his butt again. Now that he had the jacket, it would cover that butt quite nicely. Jeremiah raised a brow at his answer. Magic. He supposed that made sense. How else could he have sneezed his clothing out of existence? He let out a shocked little laugh. “I’ve always loved magic. We had a magician that followed us around in the circus when I was a child. I liked his tricks. But that’s all they ever were. Tricks. Your magic seems really real. I’d love for you to keep my company.”

          haneul always had a lot going on in their head. hana and haeul’s constant having conversations or bickering would drive most mad, but they had done that all their lives. today hana was in charge, trying to get her brother to eat less like a rabbit all the time, and lunch consisted of froyo. chocolate froyo, a.k.a. the best kind. while hana was focused on her food, haeul had noticed someone staring at them alerting hana to that. brown eyes glanced around until she landed on the male, their brows knitting in confusion “is there something on my face?”

I don’t believe I’ve ever in my life liked anyone more then I do her.” It sounded insane. They hardly knew each other, but Jeremiah could feel this magnetic pull to her. “So, smash! If that’s how you’d like me to say it. I’d smash her any day of the week. Well, maybe not Sunday. That’d be inappropriate, with my Church Service being that day.” He said with a deep chuckle. “That was a joke. Any day, Gwen. Like I said. Any old day.”
